Bucs bag Blount

After he was waived by the Titans, LeGarrette Blount has been claimed by the Buccaneers.

Blount, the former Oregon running back best known for punching Boise State’s Byron Hout last year, is headed to Tampa Bay, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

Although Blount didn’t play well enough to make the Titans’ 53-man roster, he was impressive enough in training camp and the preseason that Titans coach Jeff Fisher indicated he would have signed Blount to the practice squad if he had gone unclaimed.

Instead, Blount is headed to Tampa.
