The Dolphins brought back six waived players and picked up a player from the Broncos for their announced practice squad on Monday.
Here’s the list: defensive back Jonathon Amaya, defensive end Ryan Baker, guard Ray Feinga, linebacker Chris McCoy, tight end Nathan Overbay, wide receiver Julius Pruitt and linebacker Austin Spitler. Overbay spent August in Denver.
The team has one spot left to fill out the entire squad.

Nate Ness? Maybe?
Nate Ness is gone, pay attention!
There is one spot left and I have not seen that he has signed elsewhere…stop being an ass
Nate Ness has been poached by Seattle FinFan, surprised you missed that to be honest. Maybe you are in shock by the four players they dumped yesterday.
I was a little surprised that Nate Ness got chopped too. I thought he had a decent pre-season. Hate what they did with Martin, but oh well…..it’s not my team.
Nate Ness was claimed by the Seahawks off waivers.
@FinFan68
He was picked up by the Seahawks two days ago, there were 6 teams that put in for him.
“Seahawks claimed G/C Evan Dietrich-Smith off waivers from the Packers and DB Nate Ness off waivers from the Dolphins.”
Yep, I totally missed that one. Ness and Martin should have been on the active roster for the Dolphins.
Amaya, McCoy, and Spitler are solid developmental options.
I think it’s more important that we stashed Amaya than lost Ness. Ness made himself noticed in preseason but that’s about it. He made a fair number of bad plays too. Amaya has more upside.
(Ness has bounced around practice squads of 4 teams in 2 years. Nothing to get upset about.)
