JetLove214, that would require Dolphin and Pats fans that come on here to bash the Jets because they have no life, to actually have a clue. They don’t care about facts or the truth and they aren’t bright enough to figure this all out.
TRich as he said, being a vested veteran could be released without having to pass through waivers and be picked up by another team. So if you have a handshake agreement that you will return as soon as possible, it makes it a lot easier to release the player if he can’t be claimed by another team. If they dropped a younger player they wanted to re-sign they are at a risk of losing that player.
For you Dolphin fans and Pats fans, I can try and explain it with smaller words if that’s easier for you guys to understand, just let me know.

If only people commented when they knew what they were talking about. Since he has more than 4 years vested in the NFL when he was cut he went straight to free agency and not threw waivers. This was done to make room for the other three people the Jets picked up off the waiver wire. Whats so complicated
