Tuesday morning one-liners

There’s still no timetable for Ravens T Jared Gaither’s return to practice.

The Bengals don’t have much use for a traditional fullback.

It’s a good bet that the Browns will break out their version of the Wildcat offense this weekend.

No matter who is at quarterback, the Steelers will put a lot on RB Rashard Mendenhall’s shoulders this season.

Bears LB Lance Briggs didn’t practice on Monday, but he’s expected in the lineup come Sunday.

The Lions are planning to use Spencer Havner at tight end, fullback and maybe even linebacker.

WR Greg Jennings, CB Tramon Williams, and others are candidates to return kicks for the Packers. 

While the Vikings haven’t officially ruled him out, CB Cedric Griffin is a long shot to play on Thursday night.

Falcons coach Mike Smith still won’t say whether or not LB Sean Weatherspoon will be in the starting lineup.

DT Andre Neblett beat some long odds to make the Panthers roster.

After originally listing him as limited, the Saints amended their injury report to indicate a full practice for WR Marques Colston.

The Buccaneers signed P Chris Bryan to replace rookie P Brent Bowden.
