Despite plenty of talk to the contrary, Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says Albert Haynesworth is looking good and ready to play in Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Cowboys.
“We’ve heard all these rumors and speculations,” Shanahan said, per TBD.com. “You want to talk about Dallas, we’ll talk about Dallas. Albert had a great practice today, he’ll be ready to go this weekend, and we’ll leave it at that.”
Shanahan wouldn’t guarantee that Haynesworth will play on Sunday, but then again he wouldn’t guarantee that any player will play on Sunday.
“We can go through our whole team, but like I told you before, I’m not going to tell you who’s going to dress at wide receiver, anything competitive advantage,” Shanahan said.
And Shanahan put to rest any speculation that Haynesworth could be traded this week, declaring flatly, “Albert will be with our team on Sunday.”

He’s a rat too!
So McChoke does make the decisions around there, huh?
Good luck.

And at McDonald’s Sunday Night..
Sounds like everybody wins. Shanahan gets to seem like the sheriff, and Hayneworth got to miss a bunch of offseason work. Childress could stand to learn a thing or two from him.
Shanahan says Haynesworth ready to go after “great practice” means…please somebody take this selfish prick off my hands
Let’s go babi, f da cowboys
Only a total idiot would doubt Shanahan’s sincerity when talking about Haynesworth,.
Translation: Someone take this piece of crap off of our hands.
what else can he say….it seems liked a force marriage that neither one wants, and both of their ego’s get in the way……Haynesworth is still one of the best DT’s in the league, and can contribute. Putting him on the bench serves no purpose. At his current size although do not know if he can play nose.
He said “great” practice. Eff the Cowgirls! Hail!!
Sweet
Haha…what a surprise, he’s playing!
Don’t be mad, guys. Just admit it. You’ve been played by the Rat — throwing out more phony stories, misdirections and distractions than Mike Wise!
