I think as Peyton gets older, the Colts should start investing in their offensive line. Undrafted free agents & lower rd picks are okay as long as Peyton was young & mobile enough. They invest so much in their skill players(Sanders, Wayne, Hayden, Freeney, etc.). Peyton has earned enough to have dollar bills as his toilet paper for the rest of his life. Why not start investing more in the offensive line and make the offense more balanced as Manning ages ?

Its easier to build a supporting cast around Manning than it is to replace him. It seems like they can stick any receiver in there and he suddenly becomes a star with Manning throwing to him. Do you think that Garcon and Collie would be as good as they are with any other team?

Its a matter of respect. Peyton Manning is the best QB in the league, and no one is more important to his team. Take him out of the equation and that team goes nowhere. He had enough around him to get it done but Wayne ran a terrible route on that pick. Brady and Brees are great but Manning is a top 5 all time QB. you cant realistically give him less money than Brady will get and my guess is thats exactly what hes waiting to see before he signs anything

This isn’t even news. Manning knows he’ll get signed. The whole front office would be fired if he went into a bidding war. The franchise can’t win a game without the guy, so its not news. Brady is in a different situation, they actually got a coach there and some up and coming talent on defense and offense, so Brady knows the team can win without him. Would it suck, hell yes, but he knows Belichek will rebuild and they are. Hell they can win with Matt Cassel as quarterback, Brady should be worried. The Colts can’t win a game, coach can’t win a game, GM is on his last legs without Peyton Manning…..It would be Polian’s head, Caldwell’s and Irsays head on a stick to let him walk away or even not even try to re-sign him.
