New England Patriot fans, employees, and players can step off the ledge. Tom Brady appears to be just fine after his morning car accident.
A law enforcement official told the Associated Press that Brady was “unhurt” in the accident, which should have been apparent because he didn’t go to the hospital. Brady’s sedan can be seen here to the right.
Still, it was a scary scene. The “jaws of life” were reportedly used to remove a passenger in the van that struck Brady, although fire officials told the AP that a passenger in one vehicle taken to a local hospital did not have life-threatening injuries.
The Patriots announced Brady was expected at Gillette Stadium today.
UPDATE: WHDH said team doctors are treating Brady at Gillette. They also have a few videos of the crash.
UPDATE II: Brady won’t be speaking with reporters, but he’s attending meetings, trying to catch up with what he missed, and said he’s “OK.” He took part in a walkthrough at practice, according to teammate Kevin Faulk.

It appears the Jaws of Life were used to extricate the passenger through the rear left of the vehicle – no airbags deployed in the mini van (can’t see the Audi interior). Windshields intact. Hopefully everyone was belted and doing ok.
Dennis Dixon wasn’t handy so they had to use the jaws of life instead.

Lets face it. With the way he Pats play games with the injured list, Brady could have 2 broken ankles and he would still be labeled “probable” for the next game.

It’s a good thing team doctors are checking him out. His body was more jarred than he realizes, and he’s probably going to be pretty sore tomorrow. Thank heavens he wasn’t seriously injured. Unfortunately, whether or not the accident was his fault, since the other driver knows it was Brady, there’s probably a lawsuit in his future.

Some really stupid people on hear. Everyone is talking about a Traffic accident?? What is that? There is no such thing?
The defintion of an accident is “a specific, unexpected, unusual and unintended external action which occurs in a particular time and place, with no apparent and deliberate cause”.
There is always a “cause” for traffic collisions and us Engineers know this and that is why they are called “Traffic Crashes”, not traffic accidents.
The traffic crash was probably caused by Tommy Boy not keeping his eyes on the road. He probably was checking out some dude with a man purse walking down the street.
That said I am glad he is ok because it is one less excuse the Cheatriot fans can use when the Pats don’t make the playoff this year.
