I think it’s safe to say that the Saints run last year was magical…but also lucky. Eventually the law of averages always wins out. As the 2010/2011 season kicks off tonight, I would encourage Saints fans to enjoy their Superbowl Championship from last year – however ill-gotten it may have been. I would also suggest that they demand more class from their organization, most importantly the coaching staff. There’s a reason why EVERYBODY loves the Vikings. They are a class organization from top to bottom. Saints fans, you deserve better.

The Saints were outcoached in the game. Their strategy was dominated thoroughly. Vikings did not lose the game because of hits on Favre. It was fumbles and officiating by far more than anything else. Doubled them up in yards and over that in first downs. Not one sack. Yeah…nice try guys.

Watch out for Ray Edwards. He’s probably the only Viking who would sink to their level (meaning shoulder pads to the knees or lower) but he’s still one to watch out for.

The average turnover is worth at least the yardage of the average punt.
The stats from the NFCC were anomalous, the Saints dominated the actual football game. The Vikings did not give up the game, the Saints took it. And kicked Favre’s ass to boot.

Every time I think that most Viking fans aren’t pussys all I have to do is come to this site and read their posts. Like the words of grade schoolers, ” they cheated, the refs were paid, they took cheap shots, they hit Favre late, etc.” and the pissing and moaning goes on and on and on…..
Many of you have said that we, New Orleanians, need to move on from Katrina, the largest disaster in the history of the U.S., and yet you can’t move on from a football game. If I’d have to wager I’d say they’re gonna whine about injuries to players.
The way I see it, vike fans are too stupid and have so little pride (come on their saying is “purple pride” is their a wussier color?) to shut up.
The game wont be close enough to claim ref conspiracy stuff.
Their line is so porous that the hits will be sacks.
Sure their coach is an idiot, but when they’re dominated what can you say about coaches?

I’m saying it now: Adrian Peterson will be the difference in this game, one way or the other. The Saints don’t seem to have lost a step in the offseason, the Vikes are kind of rough in a few spots, so the difference will be a playmaker like Peterson stepping up for the Vikes, or not.
