Tom Brady will practice on Thursday

Patriots left tackle Matt Light, as always, was the voice of reason in the Patriots locker room.

“It’s just a car accident, people,” Light said to our old friend Tom Curran of Comcast Sports New England.

We hope it’s “just a car accident” for everyone involved in the crash, but it’s clear Brady escaped without any major damage.  Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald both reported that Brady is expected to practice Thursday afternoon.

He’s also been participating in meetings, although he won’t speak with the media.  We’re moving on now, we promise.

Did Belichick send him home for being late to the meeting?

  2. cutler_eats_it says: Sep 9, 2010 12:20 PM

I believe the others were sent home for being late due to a storm that all were well aware of before they awoke that morning. This recent incident of tardiness is due to an unforseen circumstance.

This has DUI written all over it. High speed crash… jaws of life on the lady in the mini van… 6:15 AM… right near his house (like he doesn’t know what streets he’s driving on? yeah right)
Most fishy: Went to Pats facilities, not the hospital to get checked out (hiding the blood test possibility)
    I’m just sayin…

OK, here comes some more moronic Patriots posts! There’s gonna be many more to come losers! I have no life! Anything that this site posts that is even remotely related to the “Pats”, “Patriots”, “New England” I go crazy over. I can’t help it. Getting all this interest by pouncing on every Pat’s post on PFT is very important to my self-esteem. I don’t know what self-esteem is, but Momma says “you, being 45 years old, 5′ 4″, 390 pounds, bald, living in my basement and not able to hold a job, let alone be able to decently communicate to the human race is a liability”. She don’t know a thing, I’m the man! LMFAO!

He may have escaped major phisical damage, but what about psychologocal damage? PTS? A car accident can be a unnerving event. If he doesn’t have a good year maybe the fans should do like that other teams fans and sue the insurance company of the person at fault for damages to their season tickets.

6:15am you think Brady is drunk enough for a DUI?

  7. stanjam says: Sep 9, 2010 12:31 PM

    LOL @ JoeSchmoe
DUI indeed. I doubt it. That would have been Brady’s normal time to head to the facilities. He is usually one of the first people in to get to work, watching film etc. I doubt he was drunk.

Brady said that the minivan hit him like Katrina.

  9. cutler_eats_it says: Sep 9, 2010 12:37 PM

joeschmuck: Ya right…brady usually is coming from the bars at 6:30a. Witness said minivan ran the redlight. You sound like florio trying to start something thats not there.

It’s dangerous out on the roads. Just think about it. Many of the morons who post here might actually operate motor vehicles; like LongGoneF|orio. Drive defensively.

Yeah, OK. A drunk Brady behind the wheel at 6:30AM on his way to work 3 days before a game.
More likely: spilled his latte, dropped his phone, changing radio while going thru a green light.

  16. MistrezzRachael says: Sep 9, 2010 1:16 PM

Rex Ryan was seen heading for the Mass Pike…right after the accident.
Reports say Brady turning on green kight..and van driven by illegals ran red light and hit him full speed.
Do you know how HAPPY JET FANS WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HAD HE GOTTEN HURT???

  17. CincyAllDaWay says: Sep 9, 2010 1:17 PM

It’s glad to hear that he wasn’t hurt! I wouldn’t want the Pats fans to have any excuses when my Bengals kick their arse on Sunday!
Take it easy homers…just a little friendly trash talking:)
WHO DEY!!! Football season is finally here!

NEWSFLASH for all the Folks on here that don’t seem to care enough to know the facts.
Brady had a green light. The car he T-Boned blew through a Red light. Accident was not his fault.

  19. BenRapistberger says: Sep 9, 2010 2:07 PM

@ Gautam – Vollmer is the starting Right Tackle, though he filled in extremely well for Light last year at Left Tackle while Light was injured.
Given that Light is in the final year of his contract as well (With Brady/Moss/Mankins contracts being so focused on, no one’s talking about this) it’s likely that Vollmer will slide over to LT after this year.
Vollmer looks like the 2nd best tackle to come out of last years draft next to Michael Oher.

  20. JPL9 says: Sep 9, 2010 2:14 PM

A witness says the van ran a red light. Time will tell whether or not that report is true.
    Just saying!

Look, people. This is Perfectly Acceptable Trashtalking. What is NOT acceptable are Steeler fans ragging on Tom Brady for one stupid reason or another while thier quarterback has been stripped of his captaincy and suspended 4 games for RAPING 2 women.
The Jets and the Steelers, the two douchiest teams in football.

  22. Observer1 says: Sep 9, 2010 8:50 PM

I don’t think he was driving. His injuries are more consistent with a passenger. He hurt his right side and hit the back of his head on the underneath side of the steering column. Not sure what he was doing?

Wow – nothing like paying a guy for the past vs. What he’ll actually do for you in the future.
This guys best days are behind him
