WEEI report: Tom Brady involved in car accident

Two years ago, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s season was derailed during the first quarter of the first game.  Today, Brady may have avoided one or more injuries that could have kept him from playing at all in 2010.

WEEI radio in Boston reports that Brady was involved in an automobile accident in Boston on Thursday.  Brady reportedly was “shaken,” and the jaws of life reportedly were used to free the driver of another vehicle.

Another source told WEEI that Brady went to a local hospital, but WEEI is now reporting that Brady did not go to the hospital.  WEEI also reports that Brady has contacted the Patriots and will be heading to the team’s facility.

Per WEEI, Brady’s Audi apparently struck a Ford minivan.  Though the Audi reportedly had significant front-end damage, Brady reportedly was out of the car and walking around after the accident.

Would this be a catalyst to his signing the contract? He has to feel incredibly lucky to have avoided any injuries, but at the same time reconsider what could have happened with his future had he been not so lucky.

According to WTBS, it has been reported that Brady before the Accident had been to doing some late night drinking in a South Boston Pub, and that he was not only intoxicated, which is why he refused to go to a hospital, but that some used condoms were found in his front seat. Suggesting a little romance out on the town ?
So, whether this report is true or not, just like Ben Roethlisberger’s situation, this to now brings bad negative press to the league. So, I wonder when Roger Goodell is gonna suspend Brady! :-)
