Parcells is a guy who had a lot of money at his disposal (thanks to owners Huizenga and Ross). He knows he’s “god’s gift to football” and Miami is lookin’ like clowns of the AFC East right now, so you have plenty in common with Jones. All I know is this, what Parcells knows is questionable. He’s never won anything without Bill Bellichek and has had very moderate success in Dallas and Miami without him. Parcells signed Rick Mirer (bust) and Neil O’Donnell (bust) to big contracts when he was with the Jets (I don’t have to tell you how that turned out). The truth of the matter is Parcells as a “personnel guy” is below average at this point (he’s not better than Tannenbaum of the Jets). Parcells wastes a lot of money on “buster” free agents and hits on less than 45% of his draft picks.

In the last 3 years, no football team has more arrests than the Miami Dolphins… 15 players and 1 assistant coach. Bill Parcells got a pass for turning a 1-15 team around with an 11-5 record (with the easiest schedule in the league that year). All truth, all verifiable. Any questions?

Thats what is funny about fin fans. As A Jet fan I know our weakness is at qb. Fin fans talk about Henne as if he is Tom Brady. They are both mediocre at best until they show something more. The only difference between the two is one has a stacked defense that can cover up a young qb’s mistakes and the other team doesn’t. Jets fans should hope our defense can navigate us through our first few weeks and let Sanchez get more confidence. Hopefully we will see the Sanchez from the playoffs last year.

@smithopher – Yes Parcells has done enough for Miami alright. The clowns he left in charge have created such high player turn over it’s destabilized the team. The total gaffes in free agency as well as the draft are laughable. But the blind keep believing the Tuna’s infallible due to his little leaks intended as propaganda in his desperate attempt to save what’s left of his failing legacy. Here’s a short list and remember all these free agents got moderate to huge guaranteed money.
Ernest Wilford, Josh McNown, Justin Smiley, Eric Green, Gabril Wilson, Jake Grove
Damn I can’t even remember them all. But that’s right he’s not accountable. His hipocracy in signing substance abuse policy violators that are “Parcells Guys” ie Jason Ferguson & Ricky Williams, while getting rid of stand up guys like Jason Taylor tops the rest. The sooner the trifecta are out of Miami the better, it reminds me of JJ leaving Wannstedt in charge, how’d that work out for ya?

Well, from week to week, it’s Parcells hated Pat White or Bill Parcells (and Bill Belichek both) loved Pat White from NE media.
Methinks the media has far less of a clue what’s going on with Ross, Dee, Parcells, Ireland, Sparano than they care to admit. To the point where they make up stuff they think they believe and say it is so.

@ NFLGREEDLEAGUE – parcells wasn’t on woody johnsons payroll, leon hess owned the team until he died in 1999, parcells retired in 1999. parcells was always going to step down in miami, that was the point of bringing in ireland. you didn’t see parcells come out in a news conference to say that chad henne sucks, it got leaked through a third party. parcells gave a dead franchise some life, they went from 1-15 one season to playoffs the next cause of him. i think he’s done more than enough for miami.

Lets put things into perspective here. The offensive line is a mess, the coaches don’t even know what they have at defense and the special teams is back to square one. Yet Parcells is disappointed in a 1st year starter at QB? When he came to Miami, he came to put his stamp on this team and it always been Parcells guys that were picked or signed. He should be disappointed in himself and not the players. The guy is a joke!
Someone said Henne had happy feet and that has been true this preseason, the thing is he did not have happy feet while playing in regular season games last year. That tells me he dose not trust his OL and really who would? The OL is suppose to be one of the best in the league yet they are playing like the same OL back in 2007. IMO they should have kept the OL in tact from last year until someone better comes along. Incognito is not clearly better then Smiley and Berger is not clearly better then Grove.

Am I the only person who watched the final preseason game against Dallas? The Cowboys had no starters and their third string quaterback play the entire game while the Dolphins starters played the first quarter and a half. Eight minutes into the second quarter, the Cowboys where ahead 7-3. Sam Hurd torched Sean Smith for a T.D. and Victor Butler beat Vernon Carey for 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Unless the Cowboys are better than the 08 Patriots, the Dolphins are probably 3rd at best in that division.

Parcells is 80 years-old and will skip town at a moment’s notice. Henne is a young, rock-solid QB with a future.
