Carroll: Sean Locklear isn't going anywhere

Earlier this week, ESPN’s John Clayton reported that Seahawks right tackle Sean Locklear was on the trade block and wasn’t expected to be with the team by Sunday.

Locklear will beat those odds.

“He’s with us and [I’m] happy and thrilled to have him with us,” Carroll said Friday, via the Seattle Times. “There’s no issue about anything.”

We typed that into our coach translator, which spit this out: “No one wanted Locklear and Russell Okung is already hurt.  Oh, and Tyler Polumbus. Thanks.”

  1. Locklear took $2.2 million paycut that’s why he’s staying and Pete is happy-sometimes actually reading an article helps instead just reading headlines?

  2. Only 25 more Seahawks from last years team to go. I think by this time next year the only Hawks left from when Pete/Schneider took over will be Lofa, Curry, Hawthorne, Trufant, Unger, Forsett, and Ryan. I know a lot of these players Pete is cutting are bad, past their prime or overpaid, but really gutting them the week before the season starts seems irrational and hasty.
