Raiders' Michael Bush questionable

Raiders running back Michael Bush is listed as questionable for Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Titans with a thumb injury.

Raiders coach Tom Cable said Bush was able to carry the ball and catch the ball in practice, and he referred to Bush as a game-time decision.

But Paul Gutierrez of the Sacramento Bee writes that you shouldn’t hold your breath waiting for Bush to play.

If Bush is out, Darren McFadden will get plenty of carries.

And what happens when McFadden gets a hangnail and benches himself?

Sucks for the raiders. McFadden will be on the ground everytime the refs blow their whistle. At least he’ll be back by the time their 0-4.

refs DO “blow their whistle” when RB’s are on the ground stoopid.

Darren McFadden will gain more all-purpose yards than Chris Johnson. Fo shizzle!

Hope Bush gets healthy quick. Mcfadden can’t go more than a few games without getting hurt.

Geez, how is Marshawn Lynch not a Raider already? Our backfield is made of glass.

No, he damn sure isn’t the “go to guy” that’s for sure, but at least we weren’t given another “unnamed source”.
Sadly, I wouldn’t doubt it if he was right. Bush showed up for the team’s last practice before flying out of Oakland. Legit reports say he was mainly a spectator. If he does play, it seems it will be a very minor roll.

No prob. give Bennett the ball. He still has plenty of gas in the tank.

It won’t matter. Oakland will leave Titan Town 0-1. CK2.5K is going OFF!

This is typical “spin” from Oakland.. or from any team in the NFL for that matter.
Look, Bush has a Bennett’s Fracture. That is the bone that goes from the wrist to where your thumb, visually, begins. You grab hold of a football like you are about to run through the line of scrimmage and then ask yourself if you could secure it if you had two screws and a couple “K-wires” holding your thumb to your body.
Here is the article I wrote about this.

Bush sustained this fracture on his LEFT hand.. he carries the ball in his left. You tell me if that thumb isn’t going to be taking some hits.
Defensive rule #1: PUT YOUR HAT ON THE BALL!
