if this is true then the Patriots should be ashamed (Im a Pats fan). Bottom line is the guy apologized to Kraft and they were about to get an ALL PRO guard back. What are they more concerned with, winning games or their perception?
And they didnt miss Mankins much this week, but they will when they face teams with great D tackles, like Minnesota. There will be days they miss him, and 3 and 1′s where they miss him.
Dont fool yourself into thinking All Pro players are a dime a dozen.

What’s so un-manly about saying “Im sorry”…?
Saying I’m sorry is being more of a man or woman, than being a whiny arrogant a-hole looking stupid trying to talk your way around a situation.
Say “I’m Sorry” de-fuse the situation, …. those who know the whole story, will certainly forgive,
if an apology wasn’t necessary…the whole thing will be forgotten & all it cost was 2 words.
By the way…..don’t believe everything you read in the papers, or innuendos you hear on TV…..
If there is nothing to excite or stimulate the public….they will “create” something….
Try watching a “game” with the sound off….it’s very relaxing…and all the info you need is there…..

I don’t buy the report…that would be stupidity on their part to ask for another apology. They haven’t made Moss publicly apologize for whining about a contract. Why would they do it to Mankins. Something doesn’t smell right on the story in general. It’s just not like them to do that.

The Pats are just being dicks. Get the deal done and hold a press confrence and let Mankins talk about how he never wanted to leave and loves the franchise. Sort of how the Ravens handled Ray Lewis a few years ago. Ray got angry shared his words about the organization. The team didnt respond, they just held a love fest presser when Ray returned and signed his deal.
