Matt Moore heads home after concussion

After a dream run as the Panthers’ starting quarterback last year, Matt Moore got a nasty dose of reality against the Giants on Sunday.

Moore threw three interceptions and suffered a concussion on his final play. He was briefly hospitalized in New York following the injury, although Darin Gantt of the Charlotte Observer reports that Moore was able to fly home with his teammates.

Still, Moore’s status for next week looks questionable at best. Just like Kevin Kolb’s status for the Eagles.

If Moore is out next week, Jimmy Clausen will get the first start of his NFL career against Tampa Bay.
