When are you jags going to get it that as Steelers fans we know you hate us for being successful. Most Steeler fans dont look up other teams stories and write retarded comments. There isn’t a reason, we don’t fear you as competition or as our succesor to be the NFL’s crown jewel. We are a amazing organization in a great city with a storied past. Simply put, your team isn’t.

Like you, when this happened yesterday, I started going back to all the negative interviews Bradshaw gave about Pittsburgh and the Steelers through the years. It always seemed that he wanted to rain on everyone’s parade. Now it’s almost like he’s having some sort of breakdown. His comments don’t even make sense. Doesn’t he know his own escapades were public knowledge? At least Baker and Swaggart thought they wouldn’t get caught. Terry’s already been caught! Now all he’s doing is destroying his own legacy, not Roethlisberger’s.

Hey Donny Boy — anybody can accuse anyone of anything. It means nothing. Say, for example, the neighbor’s son accuses you of diddling him behind the bushes in the backyard. Now all of a sudden Donny Boy has the rep for diddling a young boy. Whether or not you did it. In time, people just assume it’s true. Donny Boy (appropriate name) is a little boy diddler. And then some smart guy starts talking about it on the Internet like it’s an accepted fact. Then the cute names start: “Diddle Boy” and “Donny Diddler” for starters.

I’m totally with you on everything you just stated. Lots of hypocritical grandstanders eager to take the pulpit and castigate others in some thinly veiled attempt to *try* to elevate themselves.

As for Terry, I’ve long had understanding and sympathy for him …. considering him a good-hearted country boy a bit overwhelmed by the often callous business side of the NFL.
But he’s going too far …. way too far, so now transgressions of his that were easy to overlook now get looked at in a little harsher light.
Your last comment said it all: “You don’t kick an innocent man like that when he’s down,” particularly when you’re not above it yourself and more so, when you, yourself, ached for compassion and understanding.
Bradshaw’s personal crusade against Ben is peculiar and disappointing – and kind of reminds me of how he hated the city of Pittsburgh for like a quarter century. I don’t recall a lot of professional athletes behaving in such fashion.

Excellent comments (except for the line about “chick-like” sensitivity . The players may have more bling today, but their behavior is no worse than the drunken debauchery and hooker parties of the old days. Listening to the moralizing of the Bradshaws and Tom Jacksons makes disgusts me. Roethlisberger is guilty only of acting like a drunken boob and partying with skanky women. I’ve heard worse stories about commentators at ESPN!!
Terry has complained for years that Ben won’t take his advice. I don’t recall him complaining about O’Donnell, Stewart, Miller, or Maddox. Guess they didn’t have a spotlight he was DESPERATE to share–or two Super Bowls for which he wanted to take mentoring credit.
Roethlisberger has made some terrible mistakes. But ultimately, this is a man the evidence shows was wrongly accused of a terrible crime. What those women have done is as heinous as committing an assault, and if it were within my power, they’ve be prosecuted. Ben appears to be trying to turn his life around. Today had to be very difficult for him. I’ve always loved Terry for his place in Steelers history. But I don’t think I’ll ever get past what he’s done today. You don’t kick an innocent man like that when he’s down. It’s evil.

When the Nevada woman sent text messages the next day (yes, I’ve read them) saying she can’t wait to see Ben again, you don’t need to have been in the room to know she wasn’t raped as she claimed.
When the DNA report (yes, I’ve read it) shows that the Georgia woman could not possibly have had intercourse with anyone during that time period, you don’t need to have been in the bathroom to know she wasn’t raped as she claimed.
When the prosecutor says no crime occurred and he hopes the Georgia woman and her sorority sisters learned their lesson, most people understand that means no one was raped …

Bradshaw clearly has a personal agenda driven by factors extraneous due to what Ben was suspended for.
Most educated observers can dial up where Bradshaw is coming from.
Bradshaw is an emotional basketcase with a hyper-fragile ego and psyche. Bradshaw needs for his ego to be soothed and massaged, and is known to crawl into the fetal position when in the face of adversity. He harbors decades of resentment due to his own thin skin and chick-like sensitive nature. He even refused to return to Pittsburgh for over 20 years due to emotional scars he suffered from.
One might think no one would be more understanding of a Steeler QB now taking his turn on the hot seat.
Uhhhh, not so much. Get a load of this.
Bradshaw has been seen boasting publicly that only he and Montana have won 4 Super Bowls and saying inferiors like Elway, Mario and everyone else can’t say that. He’s been taped bragging himself up about how he was such a master of the professional game that he routinely dominated the big games as if all by himself. The Steel Curtain, Franco, Swanny and Stall apparently were irrelevant. It was all about Bradshaw’s play ……. in his mind.
It’s as if Bradshaw personally designed the Immaculate Reception and it was his flawless execution that anticipated Tatum’s angle on Fuqua so he timed it perfectly to get the ball to careen to Franco on the fly.
Or how his one meaningful pass in Super Bowl IX to Larry Brown was the inspiration for a dynasty for the ages. That game was won by the defense, Franco and the OL —- not Bradshaw, but that’s not he tells the story.
Many of Swann’s circus catches in Super Bowl X were the results of ill-advised passes, but Bradshaw thinks he personally authored a masterpiece.
It goes on and on. And no one had more excuses than Bradshaw either when things didn’t work out.
That guy is a real beauty.
It’s odd.
Bradshaw was a guy who was (and obviously still is) hyper-sensitive, an individual well-known for begging and pleading for patience, compassion and understanding during his tough times.
Amazingly, no one, more than Bradshaw, tries harder and more persistently to bring out the biggest hammer on someone else in a tough spot similar to where Bradshaw once asked for understanding and compassion.
Way to go Terry —- you’re reeeeally elevating your stature with your infantile rants on Ben Roethlisberger. Your boundless insecurity is complete undetectable.
