The golden goose continues to get fatter and fatter.
After the regular-season opener between the Vikings and Saints set record ratings for the kickoff game, the Cowboys and the Redskins game generated the highest-ever overnight rating for Sunday Night Football.
The game also racked up the highest ratings for any Sunday and Monday prime-time game in 13 years, and the rating represented a 24-percent increase over last year’s debut.
The message? We love football. And intense hatred will be directed by many at anyone who takes it away.
