    Shocker. The Skins win a game and the fans AND media in DC are ready to send them to the super bowl.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    Cause there’s NO WAY the Cowboys could have lost to the Redskins without him.
  3. Switch1 says: Sep 13, 2010 6:12 PM
    In the end what won the game was coaching and metal errors and thats why the Cowboys lost. COACHING: the play calling was horrorable, gimmick play before the half that bit them in the ass, going away from the running game when they clearly they were making head way running the ball. Calling a time out when Barber broke it which could have gone the distance. Metal errors
    holding, holding holding, my goodness all those penalties. Clearly Wade did not have his staff and the team ready for the game. The Redskins were well coached, had minimal penalties, no interceptions and executed play effciently enough not to give the game away ieven thoough the Cowboys led in almost every stat.
  4. PolegoJim says: Sep 13, 2010 6:14 PM
    Facts are – Tony and company should have scored WAY more than a few penalties worth of progress.
    This has supposedly been a ‘Superbowl’ contending team for 3 years running, and they can’t put together two TD’s in a game?
    Is anybody else tired of the bemoaning and apologetic teams the Cowboys have fielded for the past 3 years??????
    P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C
    The offense and Tony failed utterly. Further proof that Tony is a fair QB at best….. and Phillips still doesn’t have a clue. Mediocrity follows him wherever his name is attached.
  5. brasho says: Sep 13, 2010 6:21 PM
    Turnstile Williams gives up two sacks and Shanahan is impressed with him? Would he have had his shoes bronzed if he had actually done a good job?
  6. Switch1 says: Sep 13, 2010 6:24 PM
    OH yeah Gregg Rosenthal your a douche bag, you predicted the Cowboys to win and they lost. You came out with the jealous wife spurned crap hating on the Skins with your earlier article because your boys lost. Stop hating.
  7. Pay This Man! says: Sep 13, 2010 6:28 PM
    @ Switch
    Haha the Redskins had used 2 timeouts less than 3 minutes into the second half. I do not consider that good coaching.
    The only reason Donovan didn’t throw any interceptions is because they hit the ground halfway to his receiver.
  8. robert ethen says: Sep 13, 2010 6:31 PM
    They didn’t have enough straw to stuff the Jessica Simpson effigy.
  9. Switch1 says: Sep 13, 2010 6:38 PM
    Pay, so your answer is 2 time outs???? are you kidding me thats the best you can do LOLOL
    Typical whiney cowgirl answer, COWBOYS LOST your 0-1, get use to being at the bottom with the overhyped egletts. No Offensive Line equals many Cowboy Losses get use to it.
  10. cowboys1 says: Sep 13, 2010 6:39 PM
    PolesmokingJim and all the rest of you skin fans will come back to reality next week. And the cowboys will be fine, they outplayed the skins except for one stupid play before halftime.
  11. Mike Daly says: Sep 13, 2010 6:40 PM
    Wade Phillips may be better than Bill Parcells but that isn’t saying a lot. And Parcells threw Drew Bledsoe under the bus for this clown Tony Romo?
    Know why Jessica Simpson never had Tony’s babies? Because like in the Redskins game Tony can’t put it in when it matters.
  12. artpioneer says: Sep 13, 2010 6:42 PM
    As a skins fan, I am of two minds.. Our offense struggled. Our defense was good at times, the right times. The Cowboys beat us in every single statistical category except one.. the final score. They are a very good team and if we can win a game against a good team playing terribly then I will take it. Rather that then lead in every stat and still loose the game…
  13. wd40 says: Sep 13, 2010 6:43 PM
    Great Game and of course it will not propel the Redskins to the SuperBowl, but clearly a statement game that many good teams use to build a great season around.
    Dallas wanted the game bad.
    If they played again mental errors and miscues would again keep Dallas from winning. Let’s not forget the floating duck Romo threw on the last drive that anyone other than Rodgers would have intercepted.
    Romo is suseptible to pressure, like most everyone else, and with the state of the offensive line the league will come after him until they prove otherwise.
    I also agree with an earlier post that Dallas coaching staff was not at its best. How can you not leave a rb or te to help Barron who was clearly overmatched.
  14. SKINSFANTOM says: Sep 13, 2010 6:49 PM
    HOWBOUTDEMCOWBOYS cowboysroll(over for other boys) I guess all that pablum(look it up douche) you spewed in the last 5 months was a waste, more importantly, YOU WERE WRONG, YOU BOLOGNA SMUGGLIN’ ASS PIRATE. Now i don’t want to see you on this site again until A: you admit that you really have no effin clue what you’re talkin’ about and probably don’t even watch football or B: YOU MOVE OUT OF YOUR PARENTS HOUSE AND GET A G-FRIEND FOR GODS SAKE. now get down on your knees and HAIL like the bitch you are, HAIL!HAIL!!HAIL!!!
  15. Smitty Gill says: Sep 13, 2010 6:50 PM
    Damn, I’m just tickeled pink that Dallas lost. Arent they suppose to be the favorite to play the Super Bowl in their house this year? Ha Ha.
    I will be so proud when my Saints are playing in their stadium in Feb. and the Cowboys will be in the bleachers watching. I am so thrilled, I can hardly contain myself.
    Forgot this one liner.
    Most of the nation fell asleep midway through the second half out of sheer boredom.
    That game was a snoozer if I ever saw one. Just plain sloppy.
  17. fifthorkid says: Sep 13, 2010 6:58 PM
    Clearly the Cowpies were outcoached and outclassed by the Skins. Captain Kangaroo Phillips and Red Jesus Garrett should both be fired after that debacle. Sure the Skins didn’t play well, but who really did in week one? A win is a win, and I dont care what it looked like who who did this or didn’t do that. At the end of the day it is a DIVISION LOSS for the cowpies, the most overrated team in the league. LMAO
  18. cowboys1 says: Sep 13, 2010 7:02 PM
    …….And if you are a true Cowboys or skins fan you’ll know it doesnt matter what or who is on these teams when they meet, its always a good game. it is a true rivalry
  19. Laxer37 says: Sep 13, 2010 7:09 PM
    That o-line is hilarious!
    All five of those guys should be arrested for theft if they cash their paychecks this week.
  20. jjared1101 says: Sep 13, 2010 7:18 PM
    Congrats to Redskins fans.
    Our two starting o linemen being out proved to be costly along with poor coaching. In a game low scoring as it was, it amazes me that Romo had 47 attempts (or around that number). We got away from our running game and had way too many penalites.
    No excuses for losing though. The Redskins made the bigger plays, and they deserve the win. I wasn’t impressed with their offense, but they have a stout defense, just like they did last year.
    I’ll be anxious for the rematch. 0-1 does not constitute panicking. Going 0-2 and losing to the Bears next week would be a different story.
  21. rickvaldez says: Sep 13, 2010 7:18 PM
    @brasho
    A rookie going against one of the best in the game and he had 1 sack dumb shit… How many times was Orakpo held and no call?
    @cowboys1
    Are you living in reality? Cowboys are going to the Superbowl and Redskins will finish last in the NFC East right?? The game shouldnt have come down to one play. Typical Cowboys fan…always a excuse.
  22. WetHog says: Sep 13, 2010 7:20 PM
    Get a clue before you run your mouth Levito. No one is saying the Skins are going to the Super Bowl, but after the 2 years of a high school level coach (Jim Zorn) at the helm of the Skins it is refreshing to have a true NFL head coach (Mike Shanahan) in charge.
    There is a difference ya douche.
  23. Ocho says: Sep 13, 2010 7:20 PM
    @brasho…Mcnabb was sacked once…and Williams was going against one of the best DEs in the game in his first NFL game. I think thats counts as a good performance…im sure you probably dropped a burger or 2 on your first day at Mcdonalds.
    You’re a typical Cowboy’s fan…an idiot. You’re team only had 1 sack.
    After looking at the Cowboy’s schedule, I see 1-6 as a huge possiblility after their first 7 games. Suck it. You’re team isn’t talented. OVERATED!
    And for all of you turd fans crying about the miscues from Dallas, if the redskins don’t take 3 off the board, the game is over. Suck it long. Suck it hard. You’re team is in last place in the East.
    look..we outplayed the 4skins (see stats morons if you can read) and if not for a dumb play and missed fg win handily. refs had it out for us no question but when you are america’s team i guess you have to beat the refs too. its all good though as we know after playing the 4skins they got nothing. mcnabb looks worse than campbell and the rb’s suck. there is no offense on this club. we put up almost 400 yds on this overrated d.
    There is no competition in the nfc east and we still win it easily. check back around week 10 when u suckas are in last place but then again turn the paper upside down and u r in first. LMFAO.
    Lol, we lead in every statistical category, and if it wasn’t for that play at the end of the half, and if Barron didn’t hold orakpo. Are you kidding me if orakpo hadn’t got held the pass would never have been thrown romo would have been picking sod out of his helmet……bottom line the what ifs are getting old for the pukes. What if grandma had a dong well she’d be grandpa….LMAO HOW BOUT THEM SKINS!!!!!!!!
  34. branchbranch says: Sep 13, 2010 8:33 PM
    I’m a Skins fan, but being proud of anyone in this game not named Orakpo, Fletcher, Hall, Ratliff, Ware, or Jenkins is like saying your proud of your son despite the fact he plays right field and picks dandelions when a ball is hit to him in teeball. You kind of have to say it…these teams played horrible…unfortunately one had to win. I’m glad the Skins did…but I certainly don’t think it was superior coaching. Speaking of kids…is Donovan taking QB lessons from my 6 yr old nephew? 1st graders skip rocks across ponds like he throws 15 yard passes. Are you serious? Kolb is worse? And the Redskins playmakers are a joke…after Moss I guess. Where was Cooley? Davis? Thomas? Montgomery? I’m embarassed to even say Joey Galloway. Where are the two tight end sets that create match up nightmares with your phenomenal tight ends you refused to trade? Waste of space for a team with so little talent to have 2 good tight ends…trade one of them and upgrade somewhere else. And why didnt they try and sign Housh? Or V-Jax? Okay I’m done…ahhhhhhh.
  35. SkinsWin says: Sep 13, 2010 9:27 PM
    While happy about the outcome but not so much the “process” to get there… I must say… Collinsworth cheering for the Cowboys throughout the game gets on my nerves. Chris pleeeease take a page out of Al’s book and TRY to be impartial… Thank you!
    It took all day but boysroll finally redeemed Cowgirl fan by citing his only defense – don’t the refs know we’re America’s team, how dare they apply the rules to us. Why can’t we put chokeholds on defenders. Whine on, big daddy. Hey, boysroll, why don’t you just move on to MMA where the goal is to lie on a floor with other boyrollers and take turns rubbing your balls on each others faces until one boyroller taps out. Leave the real sports to real men.
    Oh, yeah, he did also note that his kicker’s a hack and his coaches are idiots. A rare moment of clarity.
    And, although you may think me a “moron” – I can read – 13-7. Hail!
  40. jbRedskins says: Sep 13, 2010 11:04 PM
    Thank you SkinsWin for pointing out Collinsworth and how he constantly was rooting for the Cowboys. Michael’s served as a nice mediator, but he knows little about football and usually points out the obvious. At least the Cowboys didn’t talk trash before losing to an inferior oppenent (see New York Jets). Also, everyone was talking about Dez Bryant before the game, but know one is talking about him now. Bryant will be a good WR someday, but the hype on him vanished when he got smothered on those screen plays early on. Even though it wasn’t pretty, a wins a win, and the Redskins should only get better as the season goes on.
  41. jan van flac says: Sep 14, 2010 12:03 AM
    where’s Vox?
    both teams stunk up the joint.
    dropping 2 gimmie INTs on the final drive? taking 3 points of the board and then fumbling the snap on a 20 yd FG attempt?
    Then only won because Dallas is even more inept.
    I think it was in April or May when you said that the cowgirls would beat the Skins???? boysroll, what was the final score? Do you remember 99, 01, or many of the other years that we have beaten the tar out of you in ever statistical category except one……thats right, the score. The most important statistical category. Jenkins mugged Armstrong twice on would have been touchdown passes and we did not capitalize on an easy 3 either so save it you retard. Just admit you were wrong, JJ is an idiot for not drafting on the o-line, and your mother should have aborted you. It is really that simple. I was there and am so glad your SH*T team is not going to be playing the super bowl in that horrible stadium. Romo is a choke artist and the Skins find a way to win because your fat ass cheerleader coach sucks. Brooking is a cry baby little bitch, your team is just about undisciplined as a team could be and there was no conspiracy by the refs. Go back and watch the game. Ratliff was holding Portis, Barron was holding Orakpo more than was actually called. You supposed “great” defense was exposed and the Skins will probably sweep you this year. If not for poor punting dallass would have never seen the end zone. Any time the girls got on our side of the 50 just how undisciplined the team is really showed. Looks like you all will be looking for a new kicked in no time. Super Bowl favorites my ass. Damn Hall looked good on his somersault into the end zone.
    Hail SKINS!!!!!
