Congratulations, you’re dumber than anyone thought possible. Clearly, it was all Rodgers’ fault the Packers went 6-10 in 2008. I mean, his individual numbers were almost identical to Favre’s in 2007. It’s his fault, not the defense that gave up an additional 100 points.

Usually GM’s draft for depth in the latter rounds. 1st round guys are supposed to see the field right away. And you don’t tie up 2 first rounders and another big contract in Picket for one position. Keep drafting for depth and pretty soon all you have is decent backups, and no starters, kind of like GB’s offensive line.
And to the guy who wants to blow Favre, it’s funny how you criticize Favre for not getting it done in the playoffs, or tossing a pick that caused overtime, not the loss, genius.
But how convenient for you to leave out Rodgers’ playoff failure. By the way, how did the Packers’ season end? You see, the fumble-punt actually did end GB’s season. 18-15, 0 playoff wins, 0 division titles.

You are a F’n moron. Are you kidding me? The Packers are set at QB for the next decade. If TT keeps Favre, Rodgers leaves for sure and they are then screwed. Favre has proven that he simply is not good enough in the playoffs to take a team all the way. 1996 was one of the best squads in football…..and it was the last time Favre played well in the postseason. They had plenty of chances since then, and they usually ended in failure because the Big Ego threw a stupid interception with the game on the line. His playoff record since 1996 simply sucks. TT and MM knew his limits. They knew what they had in Rodgers. They knew that it was Favre or Rodgers, and Favre was trying to yank them around anyway. TT’s decision to tell Favre to go to hell was not only ballsy…..it was genious. But a simpleton idiot like yourself Butt would never understand that.

I see you have no response to my claim that TT’s decision to kick Favre to the curb was genius…..so clearly you agree with me.
You mention that the only decent FA signing for TT was Woodson. Two points on that note. One—he plucked a guy who was thought to be washed up….and that guy went on to win the NFL defensive MVP a few years later. Two—Ryan Pickett is an outstanding DL.
Like I said….Spielman has been better, but TT has been pretty F’n good.

Pick a stat that favors vikings and one can be found to counter that favors the Packers.
They don’t hand out trophies for singular stats. Singular stats are not independent of each other. Anyone can focus on the stats that favor their position. Advanced people look at the whole.
TT made the right decision for the future of the organization. He thought beyond one season. If that means I’m singing his praises, so be it.
I think faver will fail because his o-line is on the decline, schedule is not favorable, and at this point in his life, his can check his “tell me you love me” needs through 1 or 2 loses. Sure he’ll have a few great plays but my gutt tells me they will be significantly less than last year.

You are dead on about Spielman outperforming TT. He has….not even close. But Spielman has probably outperformed every GM in football the past four years. Everything he touched has turned to gold. Hats off to him.
TT is a very good GM. He made the move of the decade by telling Favre NO, and sticking with Rodgers. That call took balls, big-time balls.
AND…..your Queens gave the keys to the city to Favre…..and this is the year it bites them in the a$$. He is playing with limited resources…..a sh!tty OL…..and he is 41. The Vikings will blow up the team after this year. And this year’s team will be lucky to finish .500. They just don’t have the guns that the Pack do.

As for Spielman, yes, he arrived in 2006, one year after Ted. So that makes their tenures fairly comparable. And in Spielman’s one less year, he has brought in more Pro Bowl players, has a higher winning percentage, and has won more division titles, all the while taking over a non playoff team, while Ted took over a 3 time defending division champ, with 4 straight playoff appearances.
And what’s wrong with Spielman trading away a couple picks for an All-Pro DE like Allen? Should he have held onto that first rounder, and drafted a guy like Harrell or Hawk?

It didn’t matter last year because the Vikes started against CLE and DET and had a healthy Rice, Harvin and Chester Taylor. They now start out with two tough games and none of the above. Favre looked like sh!t last year the first few weeks. He got by because of the team around him and they played crappy teams. Not happening this year. Favre’s arrogance and ego will be the death of this team if they don’t beat Miami. 0-2 in the NFL is a death sentence. The team will realize that much of the blame falls on Favre and they will implode.
I don’t know how you can say Favre played better than Rodgers. He lost…..and most people understand that they would have won if the Great Ego had been in camp. Rodgers won a tough game on the road. Sorry pal…..you lose.
