Jets wait for Kris Jenkins MRI result

On Monday night, Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins twisted the same left knee that required the insertion of a new ACL.

Though he eventually got up and walked off the field, he didn’t return.

And though the Jets are quietly optimistic, they’re currently awaiting the results of an MRI that was conducted earlier this morning.  Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Jenkins was due to meet with Dr. Ken Montgomery after the MRI.

Stay tuned.

If he does come back he’ll be hobbled all year. A very large man on a bad knee. Not good.

I don’t think the Jets have been or will be quietly anything.

Please dont wish its a torn ACL.. I’m a miami fan also. And if were wishing for that, then im sure Ronnie Brown will blow out his knee next week. We put up 150+ rushing yards last year with him. We can do it again.

I hope Winninugly tears his ACL after standing up from rampant masturbation.

Albert Haynesworth, please pick up the green courtesy phone. If there’s someone in this world who knows how to make a fat guy productive, it’s Rex Ryan.

Should we be surprised? Jenkins was one of the main perps in the Ines Sainz debacle. I mean, are Spanish girls Catholic?

Winninugly, you are a scumbag for rooting for injuries. I hope you tear both your ACLs at once. In fact, anyone who roots for injuries on any team is a scumbag.

I am a miami fan too, and don’t like to see other fans wish torn ACLs for any player. Season ending injuries for any team suck. Sure the Jets suck, but if you can’t beat them with all their players and all of yours, then our team just isn’t good enough. The whole league isn’t going to roll over and let us when the Super Bowl, which is what we are after, not the Jets losing players. I hope they lose games, not players.

As long as he’s out week 2, the Patriots will sweep the Giants ugly sister.

Maybe Jenkins’ jaw dropped far enough that it hit his knee when he was sexually harrassing the female reporter in the locker room.

Pretty pathetic to hope that a player has a torn ACL just because you think you’re chances of winning are increased.

    Winninugly, you suck…
I hope Jenkins can get back on the field… As much as I hate the Jets, it sucks seeing any player lose a whole year to injury. In Jenkins case, he’ll basically be losing two years in a row, in which case you might have to start thinking that his career may be over.

  21. EverybodyGotAIDS says: Sep 14, 2010 1:05 PM

It sucks for the Jets that Jenkins is out. I hate the Jets, but whatever. The big guy can play. I was saying all offseason that the Jets were relying on a big man who is getting up there in years coming off a major knee injury. Didn’t think he’d injure it again, just be ineffective, but regardless: Jets just got a whole lot worse.
