Odrick currently expected to miss two weeks at the most

Some conflicting reports have emerged regarding the injury to Dolphins rookie Jared Odrick, a defensive end who took on a more prominent role after the season-ending injury to Phillip Merling.

Here’s what we’re hearing.

Odrick, per a source with knowledge of the situation, has only a slight fracture of his fibula. X-rays were sent to Dr. Anderson in Charlotte, and no surgery will be performed.

For now, Odrick is expected to miss two weeks at the most, which would knock him out of the upcoming games against the Vikings and the Jets.

UPDATE: Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald has reported essentially the same thing.
