Why do the NFL insist in meddling in everything? There seems to be a rule for EVERYTHING and if there isn’t, you can bet that there will be soon.
Can’t use Twitter before a game, can’t celebrate a TD – especially a game winning TD, can’t eat a hotdog on the sidelines (Sanchez last year), etc, etc.
No wonder people refer to it as the “No Fun League”. Surely there’s more important things to worry about than someone Tweeting a single word before a game?

It’s not an “easy process.” There are skads of software tools out there that can allow you to schedule your tweets in advance. So it’s very possible that Dockett typed up the tweet hours before it actually went live on his Twitter account.

The rule is pretty stupid one. Whatever he tweets, or uploads to the internet is on him, and his team. If its something that is taking his focus away from the game then that’s going to effect the team, and is his coaches’ problem.
And I don’t get why these guys don’t just say their agent or an assistant has access to their twitter account and also tweets, etc.
