Matt Moore practices Wednesday

Panthers quarterback Matt Moore was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, indicating that he may not miss any time after suffering a concussion last week.

While Kevin Kolb in Philadelphia looks almost certain to be out, NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora said on Total Access Monday night that Moore is on track to play. That supports previous reports that indicated Jimmy Clausen was unlikely to start for the Panthers Sunday.

This is an example of why the concussion problem in the league is so hard to fix. All concussions aren’t equal and they aren’t treated as such.

Kolb is fully expected to miss Week Two, with NFL Network’s Mike Lombardi reporting that Michael Vick will start for the Eagles. Moore, who also suffered a concussion, will try to save the Panthers from starting slow for a second straight year.
