Robert Gallery could be out for Raiders this weekend

The Raiders and Rams are preparing for this week’s “We really better not lose to this team” Bowl and Oakland may not be at full strength.

The Raiders signed an offensive lineman on Wednesday, and Raiders coach Tom Cable indicated that guard Robert Gallery’s hamstring strain could be significant.

Plenty of other big names for the Raiders also missed practice including: wideout Chaz Schilens (knee), cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (groin), linebacker Travis Goethel
(lower back), defensive tackle Richard Seymour (hamstring), cornerback Walter McFadden
(hamstring), cornerback Chris Johnson (stinger) and safety Hiram Eugene (hamstring).

It’s unclear how serious most of these injuries are because many of the players like Asomugha finished last week’s game.  We’d expect them to play.

The Raiders received some good injury news Wednesday when running back Michael Bush returned to a full practice.

For the Rams, running back Steven Jackson (knee) and wideout Laurent Robinson (ankle) were among those missing practice.  It appears Jackson is just being cautious.  Robinson’s injury is less certain.

  1. I saw him grab his hamstring after he tried to make the tackle down the sidelines on jason campells interception…that sucks…he is our best o-lineman on a 0-line that has concerns.
Figurs got cut for Pears..problem is pears sucks as well on pass protection…so just run baby.

  2. The raiders are terrible. Plain and simple. 95% of these douchebags and their fans couldn’t hold down a job at the snack bar. What an embarassment to the NFL. Too bad the european league folded, we could’ve outsourced the whole team and traded for the polish blind school.

  3. joetorontoisagaycanadian, you made a PFT id of another member of the pft community. I’m pretty sure your the joke.
    Do you have a life?
Going back to the story, Gallery is our best offensive lineman by far. We need him healthy for the game.

  4. I’m trying to remember why these Chargers fans are so grumpy. Oh wait, I remember. Never won a Super Bowl and embarrassed on Monday night.

  5. HEY JOE CANADIAN FAG, YOU SHOULD KILL YOURSELF. WHAT ARE YOU DOING LOGGING INTO AN NFL SITE ANYWAY? GO POST UP AND WATCH SOME HOCKEY, OR CURLING YOU HOMO. LEAVE THE REAL SPORTS TO THE U.S. NEXT TIME WE GET INTO A WORLD WAR WE WILL CALL UP NORTH SO YOU GUYS CAN LAND AT A “SAFE BEACH” JUST LIKE WWII. FAG. LET ME GUESS, YOUR A SAINTS FAN. THAT IS UNTIL WHOEVER WINS THE NEXT SUPERBOWL, THEN YOU WILL BE A FAN OF THAT TEAM. STAY OFF ANYTHING RAIDERS.

I’ll die from laughing if the Raiders lose the Rams on Sunday.
We can only hope. I bet you pout like Philip Rivers when your mom overcooks your eggs, loser.

Caps lock key douchebag, find it and use it.

  8. Is it possible the Raiders will extend their current NFL record of seven (7) consecutive seasons with at least eleven (11) losses? Another loss on Sunday will get them 1/8 of the way there.

  9. Gallery is our best offensive lineman by far. We need him healthy for the game.
