@nymets,
I've been to many stadiums. The fans I encountered in New England at Gillette Stadium are without any doubt the biggest skum bags in the league. Worse than Philly fans. So this comes as no surprise. I'm a Yankee hater but I root for the Yankees whenever they play the Boston Red Sox. South Boston skum.
....says the mets fan. Too funny. I guess you never saw how mets fans act when they come down to phillies games. Nice try though, it's a bunch a guys who look like those clowns on Jersey Shore.
I hate the patriots and Brady but the guy has 3 super bowls and really should have had 4. So I guess he can say whatever he wants.

The residents were those yuppies who didn't want it in their back yard not the general MA resident. This is the same resident type that wanted our U.S.S. Constitution to stop a time honored tradition because it bothered them. The Pats have been out rating the Sox for a bit now on TV and on the radio waves here. Some of you who aren't from around here just don't see it yet. The Sox will always be big around here, but it is the Pats' town with the B's slowly gaining on the Sox as well. Not to mention the Mayor in Boston is your typical liberal twit.
Now these same residents who sit on their hands are the ones in the stadium bragging to their friends they go to Gillette as it's the place to be.

RE: petro-The Patriots will always be second fiddle in that market. Those slobs care more about the utility infielder for the Saw'x than the Pats.
This is absolutely sadly true. Remember when Kraft proposted putting a stadium in South Boston? Everyone, residents, politicians everyone told him to go pound sand.
From this article:
<a href="http://boston.bizjournals.com/boston/stories/1997/03/03/editorial1.html" rel="nofollow">http://boston.bizjournals.com/boston/stories/1997/03/03/editorial1.html</a>
"Last week, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft made the surprise announcement that he was withdrawing his proposal for a new football stadium in South Boston, in the face of intense neighborhood and political opposition. Was the announcement followed by an immediate outcry for a renewed effort to find another suitable location in Boston? Were there calls for negotiations among major political leaders to hammer out a deal? Was the mayor proclaiming that he'd fight as hard as possible to attract the Pats to Boston from their present home in Foxborough? Unfortunately, the answer to all these questions is no. "

Hah hah, you guys are funny. Some of you think Pats fans are the worst and some think New York has the worst fans.
Clearly you've never spent anytime in California. These people define bandwagon when it comes to sports teams. We lived in SoCal for five years and I kid you not - all it takes is the darkening of the sky and the chance of rain to empty a stadium. These people define 'fairweather fan.'
Believe me, there's a valid reason why the 2nd largest TV market (Los Angeles) couldn't keep and doesn't have a NFL franchise.

I'll be he wishes Bellecheat hadn't been caught too.
Remember? That's when the Pats used to be relevant.
I suppose it was easier to play QB when your coach had snuck cameras into their practices and could map out what they would do.

Tommy, you would like to have Average Joe Fan (who would be thrilled to stay until even the players are leaving) back at Patriot games, instead of corporate types entertaining clients with a little football and wine and cheese before dinner? Talk to Mr. Kraft. He doesn't want Avg. Joe anymore. Avg. Joe doesn't fit the elite atmosphere envisioned for the stadium and also has more commitments for his declining income than he has millions in the bank. And frankly the cost of attending your exhibitions has declined less rapidly than Avg. Joe's income. But bitch on Tommy.

The traffic getting out of Gillette is a nightmare, so can't blame em on some level.
The Jets are never up by 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. Ever.
The design of Gillette, sadly, is more open and less steep, so it doesn't hold the noise in like other places.
The luxury terrace that goes 30 to 30 in Gillette is a joke, as it's mostly empty in the winter while all the chowderhounds are inside sipping tea and eating lobster rolls. Pussies.
These are the facts.
Full disclosure, I live in San Diego and watch the game, beer in hand, on my 50 with 7 speakers.... in a town where the Chargers can't even sellout even though they are a playoff team. So, not exactly losing sleep over this.

The atmosphere at Foxboro is quiet unless the game being played inspires loud noise and excitement. The Krafts punish fans who are too loud because they disturb those pink hats around them. The stadium has the same system used in Europe for soccer games which picks out fans for removal and loss of ticket access due to bad behavior. Beer sale are cut off in the third so people get thirsty and head for the coolers in their cars if the game is not entertaining enough to hold their attention. The old stadium was great for noise but bad for seating. Ten fatsos in a row of the old seats means no cold aluminum for the late arrivals. Drunks everywhere until Kraft cleaned it up. The new set up is expensive but nice. RT 1 is a slow road out but it is the only road and the neighbors want the Pats to control the fans leaving the game. I switched to HD.

Aww, poor baby, don't the fans do enough by paying the highest ticket prices in the league? The fans in NE are too used to winning, winning by a wide margin too.
I'll take any chance I get to rip on the new Gillette experience.
Fact is you can't cheer for fear of the Gillette Gestapo kicking you out and taking away your season tks for the littlest reason. People don't even high-five each other after a score anymore. The current crowd there is more about talking on their cell phones, and impressing their dates they took to the game- yes, its a one of those things now- take a girl to the game to impress her ooolaaalaaa - I can get Patriot tks- wow.
Never mind the red club seats are always empty, no one leaves the luxury box to go sit and watch the game, though I doubt they are watching in the club either- its a waste of good real estate.
Where does that leave the fans? Its $80 bucks for 3rd level seating that is just awful. The views from the 3rd level are horrible. And it takes at least 1/2 hour from the gate to get to your 3rd level seats.
I used to go to Foxboro all the time for games, there wasn't a better place in the NFL.
They failed to transfer this to the new stadium. I'd rather watch at home and take a trip to see the team on the road than visit Gillette

Dawn says:

The fans leave early because traffic is an absolute NIGHTMARE. If the Patriots want to "enhance the game experience", they need to add a few more lanes to Route 9.

Correction: Route 1. I live in NY and travel Route 9 twice a day which is a nightmare unto itself.
But, I do have Patriots season tickets so I know first-hand the time to get into and out of the Razor.

Hey Jackass get a clue. You don't need to be in Hollywood to want to be seen. The point is they have money they want people to know they have money.
Ok I live here in MA heres the deal with these so called "fans"
Well they are all bandwagoners. Before pats won a superbowl NOBODY had pats jerseys.
The same people I see now with brady jerseys had Cowboys jerseys on in the 90s....
This is not made up there is no such thing as REAL pats fans.
If patriots lose 1 game people stop watching them.
No loyalty. I never seen 1 person in my life with a scot zolak jersey..
I swear on my life this is the truth.
plus most pats fans cant name more than 6 people on their team. They know tom brady ,wess weler(maybe) randy moss.
thats it. So I'am tellin everybody root against the pats to lose and then the fans will disapere
