Mike Shanahan won't rule out pursuing Vincent Jackson

There are still more than 22 hours left until a league-sanctioned moratorium on a possible Vincent Jackson trade runs out.  It’s still possible Jackson’s agents may hear the four most magical words in the business: “The Redskins are interested.”

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan wouldn’t rule out going after Vincent Jackson when asked on Thursday.  Although he didn’t really say much.

“We’ll always be trying to upgrade our football team, if that presented
itself. We have people evaluating different people on teams all the
time.”

It’s believed the Seahawks, Rams, and Vikings have shown interest in talking to Jackson in the past.  Jackson is eligible to return in the fifth game of the season if he’s traded by next Wednesday, which could get more teams interested.

Perhaps watching one game of Joey Galloway, Anthony Armstrong, and Roydell Williams opposite Santana Moss has Shanahan more interested than he was a few weeks ago.

How cool would it be, if the Raiders pulled off the trade, though it’s highly unlikely. And then Jackson caught the gamewinning TD against the Chargers, the exact week he comes back..

According to the media and all rumor sites – Any free agent = Redskins. It’s usually lazy journalism to blame, PFT included.

I’d be doing that silly ‘Pants on the ground’ while watching NFL Sunday Ticket with a sub’ in one hand and a Corona in the other.

Perhaps he was waiting to see if he would have forced into missing all 6 games and now, it’s worth his time to think about it for this year.

Vincent Jackson is a complete tool. He has the physical tools to be a great receiver, but he is merely a good one.
Do we really need another malcontent who keeps on breaking the law on our team. Isn’t it enough that we are overpaying Haynesworth? Do we really need another player who thinks he is much better than he actually is?
The Redskins receiver depth is dire, but I’d rather keep it that way than see Jackson on the roster.

T.J. was MINUTES from signing in DC and the Ravens stepped in and added something to the deal to tip it in their favor. Not $$$ either, he is still guaranteed $$$ from the Seahawks for this season, 7MIL I believe. He signed for the one year min with Bal.
