Why are we taking score on blackouts now? And who cares if the team buys up tickets to lift blackouts. Are the blackouts being tallied as a race to LA. Interesting thing is that two California franchises are blacked out this week, yet the NFL thinks LA will support a team.

Purple, Suh is a rookie DT. They usually don’t even play. He had 3 tackles (one was 4th and goal stop) and a sack. Also, he’s on a dline where every member had a sack and tackles. He just needs to blend in, not be noticed.
Glad the game will be televised. Why they expect people that live in Lansing to buy tickets when there is a blackout is beyond me. I live almost 2 hours from the stadium, lol.
Hope Suh or KVB gets a hold of Vick on Sunday.

I gotta think maybe Brandon Graham has something to do with the Blackout being lifted. He is a Michigan guy and likely has alot of fans in detriot. I’m sure he didnt have nearly as much as an effect as Tebow did in Jacksonville but he probably had someone. There has been alot of horrible football played in Michigan in the last decade and Graham was one of the only true bright spots to come out of that period. I bet alot of football fans in that region still want to see him play.
Also Graham has said this week that he has an entire section of supporter coming to the game to see him play. And they are only the ones he knows personally Im sure there will be alot more of his college fans coming to the game that he doesnt know just to see him play.

The Lions have never and probably will never use that .34 on the dollar rule. When it gets close to a sellout, local businesses buy up the remaining tickets. Like Meijer and Art Van. But i’d guarantee that the Fords did not buy the remaining tickets.

You know the NFL is desperate when it insist that its franchises buy unused tickets at 34 cents on the dollar just to show the game on the local market. If this was year 2000, people would cry about blackouts but in 2010 with streaming games on the Internet, who cares about a blackout? All you need is a video card w/S-video, a S-video cable and a HDTV with S-video and you are good to go.

If the Lions would lower ticket prices to $9 like they did in Jacksonville, then when they need to buy them at 34% they would only need to pay a little over $3 a seat – which would make great business sense.
