Jets cautiously optimistic about Revis' hamstring

The fact the Jets beat the Patriots Sunday was not a shock.  The fact their defense played far better after cornerback Darrelle Revis left the game with a hamstring injury was stunning.

The question for the next week: Will Revis miss any more time?

PFT’s Mike Florio confirms that Revis will undergo an MRI on Sunday.  He says the Jets are “cautiously optimistic” the injury isn’t anything serious.

Still, it’s a concern for the Jets.  Hamstrings are notoriously tricky to recover from, and rest may be the only thing that helps Revis.  Then again, it was all the rest Revis had during his holdout that probably is giving him troubles in the first place.

They were optimistic that Jenkins’s knee wasn’t blown, too.
    Hope he’s fine.

But he is better than nmamdi. Yeah right. Simply a cover 2 corner

Translation: I faked it to draw attention away from the fact that Moss owned me after I called him a ‘slouch’.

who needs Mevis, jets certainly don’t, they have Rex, the real defensive genius of the NFL, not that fraud Belicheat.

so do the jets get any of that money back since he is not playing up to his contract?you just knew that he and the jets would use the hammy as an excuse when he got beat by moss.

Even if Marshall doesn’t catch a pass, Dolphins will still win. Miami will be Rex’s Achilles.

Hey How about something talking how great Sanchez played. There was probably a blog already written about how awful Sanchez played if the pats had won.

Having no horse in this race, I sort of got the impression that the reason Revis tugged at his hamstring after the play was because he got beat by an aging Randy Moss and wanted to make excuses for himself, but I could be wrong of course. Anyway, that was one hell of a grab by Moss.
Ironic that Moss defeated Revis, yet the Jets defeated the Patriots. Interesting.

The Miami Dolphins are paper tigers. They’re 2-0 when you look in the paper but will finish the season 6-10. Just like that slug Dan Marino who in 17 years never won anything. Jay Fiedler was better than Dan Marino.

  16. FireJerryJones says: Sep 20, 2010 7:31 AM

Think the ‘slouch’ he’s covering never had a hamstring issue?
This guy quit on his team at half time.
On the other side, Cromartie looks like the real deal on a speed WR.

  17. GreenAsGrass says: Sep 20, 2010 7:50 AM

How the hell did the Jets defense play better withour Revis???
Everyone and their mothers said that MOSS IS GOING TO FRY CROMARTIE well Moss had the entire 2nd half to do that instead Cro got a pick and the Jets got the win.
Let Revis heal up the Jets won’t need him to beat the Dolphins or the Bills anyway.

While it pains me to do this, I do have to give Sanchez credit for having a good game against the Pats. We’ll see if he can put 2 good games together or whether that was just an anomoly.
