Jets cautiously optimistic about Revis’ hamstring

The fact the Jets beat the Patriots Sunday was not a shock. The fact their defense played far better after cornerback Darrelle Revis left the game with a hamstring injury was stunning.

The question for the next week: Will Revis miss any more time?

PFT’s Mike Florio confirms that Revis will undergo an MRI on Sunday. He says the Jets are “cautiously optimistic” the injury isn’t anything serious.

Still, it’s a concern for the Jets. Hamstrings are notoriously tricky to recover from, and rest may be the only thing that helps Revis. Then again, it was all the rest Revis had during his holdout that probably is giving him troubles in the first place.
