Bucs-Panthers one-liners

After catching four passes for 83 yards in the Bucs’ 20-7 win Sunday, TE Kellen Winslow downplayed the pain in his oft-surgically repaired knee that kept him out of practice all last week.

Through two games, Bucs RB Cadillac Williams is averaging just 2.57 yards per carry.

The Bucs started Sunday’s game in a three-receiver set, with Micheal Spurlock and Sammie Stroughter opposite rookie Mike Williams.

Bucs offensive coordinator Greg Olson says he wants to get Stroughter more involved after he went catch-less against Carolina.

The Panthers started rookie WR David Gettis over veteran WR Dwayne Jarrett in Week Two.

Panthers WR Steve Smith underwent X-rays on his wrist after the game, but they came back negative.

Smith has scored a touchdown in five straight games, tying a Panthers franchise record.

Panthers coach John Fox already looks like a “tired and beaten lame duck” after two games.
