MRI for Trent Williams reveals no structural damage to knee

The Redskins defense blew a 17-point lead on Sunday, but the team avoided a bigger loss to injury on Monday.

Both Jason Reid of the Washington Post and Chris Russell of ESPN 980 report that an MRI on left tackle Trent Williams’s knee revealed no structural damage. Reid reports Williams suffered a knee contusion and a sprained toe.

The team hasn’t ruled the possibility of Williams returning for this week’s game against the Rams.
