I’m not denying the team gained some bandwagon fans last year, as any team going 13-0 and winning the Super Bowl would do, but your insinuation that Saints fans as a whole appeared out of nowhere last year is incorrect.

So what team are you backing-the Vikings? Must be since you are on their threads. All I know is we beat them last year, this year, and I would say will beat them again but you would have to make the playoffs for that to happen and it won’t!
By the way-speaking of history and bandwagons and all that-when was last time Vikings won Super Bowl-ohhh right-NEVER!

So in answer to your question “Where were you “fans” before last year, seriously?” —- We were selling out our teams’ games, even when they went 7-9 and 8-8, while your team needed an extension to sell out its home playoff game in January 2009.

Week 15 was the Saints’ first loss of the season. Weird time for all the bandwagon fans to come out.
The Saints have had season sell-outs for five straight years. Not sure what the 2009 season has to do with that.

i am not a Saints fan, BUT Reggie Bush is NOT the reason for the high scoring Saints offense, the reason is a guy who wears the number 9 on his jersey and of course the coach.

Reggie Bush is NOT a star running back. A star running back has 1000 rushing yard seasons and carries the ball at least 15 times, Bush doesnt carry the ball 15 times, he touches it maybe 15 times. Bush makes more plays as a reciever or return man, so he’s not a star running back, Pierre Thomas is and he can rush for 1000 yards.

The real issue here is the ligament. If the broken fibula is low on the leg, then that’s where the feared “high ankle sprain” occurs. Bone heals quickly, 6 wks. Ligament? No. 8-12 months or so. Often the lower fibula breaks because the ligament connecting it to the tibia rips apart. so we have to wait and see.
Which reminds me of a Howie Long gaff: a couple years ago he referred on TV to the “tibula and fibula” as the two bones of the lower leg. Sorry, Howie. You are in Dunce School.

Strange, but I hope it is a broken fibula. It is something he can come back from and will have no long term negative consequences. For now it looks like the number 1 seed is the most important thing and every win is important. I sure don’t want to see the team having to play in Green Bay for the NFC Championship. Much better to play the game at home.
On a side note, it sure is nice seeing the Cowboys and Vikings both at 0-2…….
I still think San Francisco is going to win the West.
