Perhaps the most surprising part of Braylon Edwards’ DWI Tuesday morning has been the reaction from within the Jets locker room.
Florio passed along some negative comments culled from ESPNNewYork.com, while a teammate told the New York Daily News that it was “not surprising” to find out about Edwards.
“Several players were most disappointed in Edwards’ selfishness and disregard for a team with Super Bowl aspirations,” Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Former Jets safety Kerry Rhodes, now in Arizona, heard that Edwards has caught flak.
“Typical coming from that locker room for quote ‘someone’ to say something
bad about him rather than be on his side!” Rhodes tweeted. “But wen scored they were
prolly the first one to celebrate with him.#anonymous lol”
The New York Post says Rex Ryan is “infuriated” with Edwards and is strongly considering deactivating Edwards for Sunday night’s game.
yeah right, i wont hold my breath.
Those “other” Jets only piled on because they’re Buckeyes. Bet the arresting cop was a Buckeye, too, or from Cleveland… right, Braylon?

I may be in the minority, but it’s a DUI. It happens to teams all the time and unless it’s a repeat offense, nothing happens to them. Happened to Ronnie Brown earlier this year.
The only touchy thing is that he was on probation, so that may make things a little more messy.
I’m not condoning drinking and driving, but as far as football goes, they don’t punish you for it on your first offense.

In a Cleveland bar just prior to the Jets – Ravens game the Clevelanders were actually rooting for Baltimore just because they hate Edwards so much. Think about that, Cleveland rooting for Baltimore?

kerry isn’t even a jet, he plays for a team who’s defense has given up twice as many points as the jets did. he’s overrated and a “me first” type of player anyway, he’s a distraction and im glad the jets got rid of his ass.

Braylon had four passengers — two Jets teammates and two unconfirmed. Every dude in the NYC is probably interrogating his girlfriend right now. (The Dream voice) “I know you don’t call yourself hollerin at my girl.”

This dude is already on probation for assaulting an innocent bystander after a night of drinking at a nite club in Cleveland. This cluster of a f*ck just doesn’t get it.
