While Vincent Jackson has a bit to sort out at the moment. He is a nice size target that can fight for the ball when needed. Along with Rice and Shank we would have some nice weapons for late in the season. But right now this team is in a must win situation this Sunday against the Lions. After 40 years rooting for this team I just can't figure out why they never seem to get it until they are about to loose it all. Foronce why can't they act and play like tru chanpions!

well, 1st off, your name says it all.
That name tells me there is no objectivity.
2008 59-1098-18.6 7tds
2009 68 -1167-17.2 9tds
Hes played 3 freaking years you tool.
40 time = 4.46
Anything else you want to be wrong about?
Yep he had off feild issues, so did Allen and he's stayed out of trouble....people CAN change.
You really don't hope he makes it to the Vikes.
Yo hope he makes it to the Vikes and gets in trouble.
If your packers are so good, why are you so worried about a Vikes transaction for?
I love how you cheese turds say the Vikes are insignificant, yet you can't help but post "hoping" for things to happen.
The Vikings are 0-2, what are you so worried about?
Keep counting your chickens before they hatch, it's a long season.
--------------------------------
A combined 127 catches and 16 tds in 2 GREAT years. Wow. Yeah I would definitely give up a 2nd rounder for that right away. And then pay him his 10 million a year.
I DO HOPE he goes to the Vikes. He is the most overrated WR in football. He is also a head case.
4.46? Not really that impressive for a deep threat... I ran a 4.59 in college. Thats not that good... Period.
I am not wrong about VJ. Sure he is a big target for Favre to throw to. But what about the O line giving Favre time to throw it to him deep? Or what about next year when they have T jack or God knows who starting? Rice and VJ being thrown to by a UFL caliber QB does not equal success. I feel I hit a nerve by ripping your team though... 0-2 sucks huh? I'm sorry. Well maybe you can get Locker next year. Or Ryan Mallett. Your schedule only gets harder.... Jets, Patriots, and Packers twice. Not to mention a ton of other very hard games. I see 7 wins at the absolute max, but thats unlikely. HAVE FUN!

Really? What do you do with a havana? You're supposed to smoke it.

As you can see, Carl....they're not too bright up there. Life is so bad, they actually soak their fish in poison, but so many have become accustomed to it, it's like a luxury item up there. I feel for 'em.
Give 'em some slack....their world is crashing down. What to do now with the rest of fall but get the ice fishing gear ready...yeah der, eh? Got the skates ready, eh?

why all the viking haters? they aint the only team in the league!! Get a life haters or wait you don't have one and so you waste yours bitching and complaining! hope you bitter old men and women die alone!
-----------------------------
Why all the haters?
Because for 7 months all we heard was whining and entitlement to something you didn't earn.
"The Refs screwed us"
"WE beat the Saints"
"WE are the real winners"
"We got screwed"
"Favre is God"
"We had twice the yards as the Saints"
"Phantom calls"
How about the lack of a call on the facemask on Rodgers to end our season?? You don't hear Packer fans whining about that. WE realize we had no right to that game, giving up 51 freakin points. Own up to the team's mistakes, don't make excuses.
I love Jim Schwartz's quote after the controversial CJ catch against the Bears.
"The day I stand up here and blame the officials, is the day I don't deserve to be doing this job anymore" Something to that effect... Complete class. Vikings lack that... both the organization and the fan base.
Blah blah blah. We had to put up with you loud mouth, abnoxious idiots for far too long. Before this season it was all boasting and big talk. Where are you at now Viking Fans? Where you at? Yeah, 0-2 is not much to talk about. Talk about oh we only lost by 5 and 4 points? Yeah, well you have only scored 19 points all season thus far, against two average defenses. I called it before the season, that this is the year missing training camp catches up to Favre. But I didn't expect them to be 0-2. I love it. No more talking and concentrate on your team scratching to get to .500 and a wild card berth. Enjoy third in the division. (Should be last right now, because to me both the Bears and Lions are 1-1.) Bears are now better than the Vikings. They have a better defense, and their offense at least is in synch. But thats what happens when players buckle down and show up to camp to actually do work. GOD I couldn't be happier with how this season has started.... Shut up the Vikes fans earlier than expected.

Sign him or don't sign him. Who cares? vikes will still be a terrible team, in a terrible town, with a terrible stadium, terrible fans, and a beyond terrible coach.
How many Super Bowls have you won?
==============================
We all no the answer to that question.
You still haven't answered how many gerbils you have crammed up your ass.
------------------------------------
Packer rube says:
You're an idiot. V jackson had one good year... Thats it. He is a big play target and reaped the rewards of teams worrying about Gates. Who do the Vikes have to take attention off of V jax? No one. He is a poor route runner, does not have high top end speed, and is an off the field issue away from missing a big portion of a season if not all of it (I am unsure which step is next for him). As a Packer fan I PRAY they get V Jax, it will be hilarious that they have 2 WRs being paid top 10 money, and not one is the actual top 10 WR on their team named Rice. SCHISM!

You really don’t hope he makes it to the Vikes.
Yo hope he makes it to the Vikes and gets in trouble.
If your packers are so good, why are you so worried about a Vikes transaction for?
I love how you cheese turds say the Vikes are insignificant, yet you can’t help but post “hoping” for things to happen.
The Vikings are 0-2, what are you so worried about?
Keep counting your chickens before they hatch, it’s a long season.

How many Super Bowls have you won? The answer to that question isn't changing with V-Jack.
Well, at least us Minneapolitans aren't living in a town known for packing the meat with your co-workers and beating the wife for "only" schlepping you 12 beers after dinner.
Your whole town is painted mustard yellow and snot green. And Packer fans are the most pretentious, self-righteous know-it-alls football fans in the country. Why your team ever gets special treatment from the media and the NFL, I'll never know. Oh, that's right. It is because everyone in town owns a piece of the GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM EVER who had the GREATEST COACH EVER and the GREATEST QB EVER in the QUAINTEST SMALL TOWN EVER out in the middle of "THE FROZEN TUNDRA".

VJ to Minnesota would put the Vikings back in to playoff contention. Imagine when Rice comes back...

Maybe if they both stay in the backfield and pass block. Apparently when you watch the Vikings play, you fail to see your elderly QB getting pressured and piss pounded. Why is that...? Because no receivers are getting open, or because the O-line sucks...or both?
That team is in disarray, and nothing short of a God-given miracle will save Favre and the team. Deep down, do you really think that when the Vikes go into the new Meadowlands in a few weeks that the Jets defense isn't going to absolutely pummel Favre...? Seriously?
I can't stand the drama fag, yet I'm actually concerned that he may not walk off the field in that game.
Don't look too far past this weekend, because this pissed off Lions team is coming for Gramps...and may just get him. I've said it for weeks....one way or another, T-Jack will be starting for the Vikes by Week 12. Book it, Danno.

Chargers should get a #2 in 2011, a DT now - maybe Fred Evans (MN is deep at DT and SD is in desperate need). Also a conditional pick in 2012 #4-#6. MN needs to sign V-Jack long term, then release or trade Berrian next year. That would give MN the league's best WR trio with V-Jack, S. Rice & P. Harvin.
----------------------------------------------
Right. With T-Jack throwing to them from behind an aging, slow, overrated, declining line.... Talk about wasted money.

He is not worth more than a 2nd round pick in 2011, plus a 4th or later in 2012. If the Vikings can swing that and get a one year deal signed its worth it, getting a third back in 2012. Otherwise we don't want this guy for the next few years, unless the CBA gets rid of the salary cap. He is about the 25th best reciever wanting top 3 money, and proving he'll wait for it. Not a good value, Vikes just remeber how we opened the season the first few games last year, than remember how we went from bad recievers to some of the best. Football only matters in Jan/Feb. Jackson will have another DUI by than.

Come on, Jackson is going to be too little, too late for too much. By the time he can play and gets in any reasonable offensive familiarity, the season will be half over and Rice may be healthy and/or the Vikes' record deficit will be too much to overcome. They should only do this deal if the pick is low and they know Rice ain't coming back any time soon. And probably the only thing I've ever agreed with the Dewey dude on is that Berrian is over-rated.

The chargers have absolutely no reason to do anything at all until near the deadline unless a fantastic offer is made. Even if they are willing to let him go for a 3rd rounder, they wouldn't do anything until the last offer is made.
The problem is that Jackson's value in this situation isn't as high as one might initially think. Sure, he's a very good football player. But you are only getting 3/4 of the season out of him and he's one DWI or failed drug test away from being out a season. Plus he's coming to your team fresh and likely won't be up to speed with the system until week 7 or 8. And his contract is up this season and he's in line for a big raise.
I just don't think the Chargers will get a 1st rounder for him from any team. Maybe a 2nd rounder. Most likely a 3rd rounder plus late rounder. Then again AJ's hardball approach boads well for a team that feels they are on the cusp like the Vikes or the Skins.
