While Vincent Jackson has a bit to sort out at the moment. He is a nice size target that can fight for the ball when needed. Along with Rice and Shank we would have some nice weapons for late in the season. But right now this team is in a must win situation this Sunday against the Lions. After 40 years rooting for this team I just can’t figure out why they never seem to get it until they are about to loose it all. Foronce why can’t they act and play like tru chanpions!

A combined 127 catches and 16 tds in 2 GREAT years. Wow. Yeah I would definitely give up a 2nd rounder for that right away. And then pay him his 10 million a year.

I am not wrong about VJ. Sure he is a big target for Favre to throw to. But what about the O line giving Favre time to throw it to him deep? Or what about next year when they have T jack or God knows who starting? Rice and VJ being thrown to by a UFL caliber QB does not equal success. I feel I hit a nerve by ripping your team though… 0-2 sucks huh? I’m sorry. Well maybe you can get Locker next year. Or Ryan Mallett. Your schedule only gets harder…. I called it before the season, that this is the year missing training camp catches up to Favre. But I didn’t expect them to be 0-2. I love it. No more talking and concentrate on your team scratching to get to .500 and a wild card berth. Enjoy third in the division. (Should be last right now, because to me both the Bears and Lions are 1-1.) Bears are now better than the Vikings. They have a better defense, and their offense at least is in synch. But thats what happens when players buckle down and show up to camp to actually do work. GOD I couldn’t be happier with how this season has started…. Shut up the Vikes fans earlier than expected.

Maybe if they both stay in the backfield and pass block. Apparently when you watch the Vikings play, you fail to see your elderly QB getting pressured and piss pounded. Why is that…? Because no receivers are getting open, or because the O-line sucks…or both?
That team is in disarray, and nothing short of a God-given miracle will save Favre and the team. Deep down, do you really think that when the Vikes go into the new Meadowlands in a few weeks that the Jets defense isn’t going to absolutely pummel Favre…? Seriously?
I can’t stand the drama fag, yet I’m actually concerned that he may not walk off the field in that game.

He is not worth more than a 2nd round pick in 2011, plus a 4th or later in 2012. If the Vikings can swing that and get a one year deal signed its worth it, getting a third back in 2012. Otherwise we don’t want this guy for the next few years, unless the CBA gets rid of the salary cap. He is about the 25th best reciever wanting top 3 money, and proving he’ll wait for it. Not a good value, Vikes just remeber how we opened the season the first few games last year, than remember how we went from bad recievers to some of the best. Football only matters in Jan/Feb. Jackson will have another DUI by than.

Come on, Jackson is going to be too little, too late for too much. By the time he can play and gets in any reasonable offensive familiarity, the season will be half over and Rice may be healthy and/or the Vikes’ record deficit will be too much to overcome. They should only do this deal if the pick is low and they know Rice ain’t coming back any time soon. And probably the only thing I’ve ever agreed with the Dewey dude on is that Berrian is over-rated.

The chargers have absolutely no reason to do anything at all until near the deadline unless a fantastic offer is made. Even if they are willing to let him go for a 3rd rounder, they wouldn’t do anything until the last offer is made.
The problem is that Jackson’s value in this situation isn’t as high as one might initially think. Sure, he’s a very good football player. But you are only getting 3/4 of the season out of him and he’s one DWI or failed drug test away from being out a season. Plus he’s coming to your team fresh and likely won’t be up to speed with the system until week 7 or 8. And his contract is up this season and he’s in line for a big raise.
I just don’t think the Chargers will get a 1st rounder for him from any team. Maybe a 2nd rounder. Most likely a 3rd rounder plus late rounder. Then again AJ’s hardball approach boads well for a team that feels they are on the cusp like the Vikes or the Skins.
