Former Colts and Buccaneers coach Tony Dungy gave a pep talk to a different team -- in a different sport -- today.
Dungy spoke to the New York Yankees today before their game against the Boston Red Sox.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi said he’s been wanting to have Dungy talk to his players for a long time.
“I admire him tremendously for his faith, his beliefs, the type of man he is, the type of family man, the type of coach,” Girardi said. “I’ve read his books. I subscribe to his website.”
Although Dungy has been a football man most of his life, baseball was one of his sports at Jackson Parkside High School in Michigan.
