It's sunny again in Philadelphia

We liked Andy Reid’s decision to go with Michael Vick when the coach made it.

We like it even more after Vick’s four touchdown effort in Jacksonville.  While the Jaguars lick their wounds after a 28-3 loss, the Eagles embrace sole possession of first place in the NFC East.

Michael Vick talked with NBC’s Alex Flanagan after the game.  After the jump, Jack Del Rio tries to explain where it all went wrong.

The Jaguars have been outscored 56-16 the last two weeks.

See a late season nose dive. Hype em up all you wish, just gives us “Haters” more fodder when he fails.

Interestingly, Vick’s & McNabb’s completion precentage and yards rushing were about the same this week.

Oh Mr. Rosenthal…. How soon we forget the fact that Michael Vick is a puppy killer who should have never been given the opportunity to see the world outside a set of bars. I can only assume that you were so in love with Reid’s decision to start Vick that you forgot how he is even better at holding a dog’s head underwater than he is at throwing a tight spiral. Karma’s a %$&@% (you know what). His success this season won’t last…

It’s easy to feel sunny when you’ve beaten the Lions and Jaguars, two teams with a combined 1-5 record and -65 point differential. But… you lost to the Packers, the only team you’ve played so far with a remotely winning record.
In other words, Philly’s “achievements” thus far are completely meaningless. There is no softer schedule than Philly’s so far.
I knew idiots would be jumping on the Vick bandwagon after an easy game against a lousy team.

I wouldn’t say that schedule looks too awfully cloudy. Aside from Indy, I don’t see a game on that schedule that shouldn’t at worst be a coin flip. 49ers are playing horribly right now, with their worst performances coming against speedy players. We’ll be bringing Jackson, Maclin, McCoy, and Vick to that game so we should be fine. Atlanta and the Titans should be hard fought games, but both are certainly doable. As for our division rivals, it all depends on which teams show up. All three have shown that they can play well when they put it all together, but all three have also shown they can absolutely fall apart.

The episode where they found a glory hole in the bathroom stall wall and then tried to exploit it’s existence was the best. Either that or when they found the mob’s coke and tried to deal it to pay them back.

Hell, Misery and absolute suffering for Vick haters: Michael Vicks success! Hate on, LOSERS!

Oh STFU kristoff. Talk about no spine. Loser…don’t project, the only loser in life is someone willing to forget about the crap he pulled (much of which he didn’t serve a day for…yea he still owes that debt to society even if you’re too wimpy to stick to it) because he can play a stupid game. What a sellout you are as a sports fan…as Rosenthal and Florio and MDS are (after all they can’t write an article in first person without using the collective term “we” even when stating a personal opinion). It couldn’t be more ironic and hypocritical given how high of a ladder Florio needs to climb down off his high horse with guys like Roethlisberger. Nothing could possibly be more weak or representative of a loser.
Ever made a mistake??? Nope I have never and never will commit multiple felonies that included the types of brutal beatings he confessed to. I’ll never serve a day in prison in my life, but if I did I’d expect the same treatment that every felon but pro sports felons gets….a social pariah and opportunities in employment that don’t go very far beyond flipping burgers.
Mike Vick should be pushing a broom or working a grill somewhere. The fact that he isn’t says all kinds of things about how effed up the society in our country is and gives credence to all the other wankers worldwide who dog us for having crap for morals and make fun of our crappy culture.
    The NFL should be ashamed.

True, but you also jumped down the team’s throat for not cutting him before the year. But I guess it’s easier to just remember the times you were right…

Can people get past the dog thing already? Every time Vick is in an article half of the posts talk about the dog thing. What he did was terrible and I’m a dog owner who is crazy about dogs. It’s over. Move on. He served his time.
People hunt deer and other animals for sport. They shoot arrows and bullets through an animal and then track it as it dies a slow death running away from the hunter. That sounds like animal torture to me and it’s for sport. Because people are personally attached to dogs (like me) that makes it worse even though it’s very similar if not the same thing.
There are numerous players in the league who did worse than Vick did and did things to humans. They are still playing. I hate what he did but it’s over already. Talk about what he does on the field.

  19. BadKarma32 says: Sep 27, 2010 8:23 AM

Hey Superfuzz….get bent. This is a football forum. Take your jabs at Vick to the PETA page, its been talked about on PFT at nauseum and at this point, his on field perfomance is bearing precendence over his off field performance that happened 2 years ago WHICH HE SERVED TIME FOR.
That being said, HOW ABOUT THEM EAGLES??? With every completed pass Vick is solidifying his starting spot for YEARS to come. Sorry Kolb, looks like you’ve solidified your roll as 2nd team Qb. Also, 4 games and no INT’s…can’t be mad at that. Vick is playing for a long term contract. He likes his weapons (so far he’s only using Jackson and Maclin, wait until Celek, Avant, and Cooper get in the mix) and he likes the defense.
Bad news for the skins next week. BAD NEWS!!!
    LETS GO EAGLES!!!!

Everyone needs to stop with the dog references, the man went to federal prison and served his time.
This is America and EVERYONE gets a second chance, dont be pissed that Mike is just making the best with his.
    As for the schedule
Oct 10. @ SF – off to a terrible start
Oct 17. Atl – Revenge game for Vick
Oct 24 @Ten – Up and down starts for Vince Young
Nov 7 Ind – Good Team here, going to be a tough game for the birds
    Nov 15 Was – 2nd bye week
    Nov 22 NYG –
    Nov 28 @ Chi
Dec 2 Hou – Too many pass yards and points allowed
    Dec 12 @ Dal
    Dec 19 @ NYG
Dec 26 Min – IF Brett is still playing at this point, he is going to get murdered in the snow at philly. Hes simply too old

It seems like QB’s have a great deal of success under Andy Reid. The Birds drafted DMac, AJ Feely… 5th round, traded him for a 2nd rounder (Reggie Brown). They acquired Feely back, and had decent backup QB production. Jeff Garcia (nice playoff run), Kolb (most yards passing first 2 starts, ever), and developed Vick.
Eagles drafted a starter with the McNabb trade (Nate Allen rd 2) and a conditional 3rd round in ’11 (either/or McNabb plays 70% snaps, makes pro bowl, Skins win 9). Here’s some notable Reid 3rd round picks……Westbrook, D. Burgess, Bradley.
The Skins have drafted two 3rd rounders in the last six years. No production.

Vick is a POS and I wish him nothing good. That being said, he’s definitely improved his game. I think he looked better yesterday than I have ever seen him. We’ll see how the season plays out and if he’s for real or not.

  25. toytaybar says: Sep 27, 2010 10:59 AM

I’m with Krisoff here. Vick lost a fortune, lost his freedom for almost 2 years and he’s still redeeming himself. What he doesn’t need anymore is people like with your negative vibes.
By the way, PFT is not your english classroom- Mr” SUPERFUZZY”.
