Two drives, two interceptions for Eli Manning

The Giants are taking a little longer than they’d like to fully wash the bad taste of last Sunday night out of their mouths.

Each of their first two drives ended with interceptions. The first pick came when Hakeem Nicks let an Eli Manning pass bounce off his hands and into the paws of Sen’Derrick Marks. The Titans were able to turn that pick, the fifth of the year that came after a Giants receiver had his hands touch the ball, into a field goal.

The Giants then used a long completion to Kevin Boss to get to the Titans 2, but on third down Manning, scrambling under a heavy rush, made the ill-advised decision to try a lefty throw into the end zone. The ball was tipped into the air by Will Witherspoon and then intercepted by Jason McCourty for a touchback.

The Giants defense held thanks to a third down sack by Mathias Kiwanuka but the score remains 3-0 Titans late in the first quarter.
