Cowboys-Texans one-liners

The Cowboys defense had four sacks and forced three turnovers to halt the previously hot Texans offense in a 27-13 win.

WR Roy Williams had his best day since joining the Cowboys with 117 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.

A goal line stand at the start of the fourth quarter helped seal the victory for the Cowboys.

Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins worked out with Texans WR Andre Johnson this offseason and said it helped him in their matchup on Sunday.

After an early show of no confidence, Cowboys K David Buehler won some back by hitting field goals from 40 and 47 yards.

Said Texans WR Kevin Walter, “They outplayed us in every phase of the game.”

Failing to score touchdowns on either of their first two trips into the red zone proved fatal to the Texans chances of winning the game.

The inability to protect QB Matt Schaub was something Texans coach Gary Kubiak harped on after the game.

Texans RB Arian Foster gained 106 yards to become the first running back to cross the 100-yard plateau against the Cowboys since 2008.

The Texans didn’t record any sacks and only hit Tony Romo once during the game.

Taking a quick look at the NFC East, Philly is 2-1, and both Washington and the Giants are 1-2. Thus despite an 0-2 start and generally looking awful, the Cowboys are tied for second and one game out of first.
Philly looks pretty good so far, but both the Redskins and G-Men looked horrible on Sunday. Dallas appears to be headed in the right direction.

This is good stuff for the Cowboys. Nice way to get back on track for that game. Now the focus has to be game to game.
    Jerry, no more hype about…nevermind.

@boysroll…the article didnt mention the redskins once, ITS DEDICATED TO YOUR TEAM. Would be the prime time to revel over crushing the Texans who claimed they were now Texas’ team…yet, as always u spend 3 paragraphs talking about the Redskins…either you are a child posting this stuff during lunchtime b/c nobody likes you enough to speak to you or your IQ is very low…so which one is it?
