Cowboys-Texans one-liners

The Cowboys defense had four sacks and forced three turnovers to halt the previously hot Texans offense in a 27-13 win.

WR Roy Williams had his best day since joining the Cowboys with 117 yards and two touchdowns in the second half.

A goal line stand at the start of the fourth quarter helped seal the victory for the Cowboys.

Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins worked out with Texans WR Andre Johnson this offseason and said it helped him in their matchup on Sunday.

After an early show of no confidence, Cowboys K David Buehler won some back by hitting field goals from 40 and 47 yards.

Said Texans WR Kevin Walter, “They outplayed us in every phase of the game.”

Failing to score touchdowns on either of their first two trips into the red zone proved fatal to the Texans chances of winning the game.

The inability to protect QB Matt Schaub was something Texans coach Gary Kubiak harped on after the game.

Texans RB Arian Foster gained 106 yards to become the first running back to cross the 100-yard plateau against the Cowboys since 2008.

The Texans didn’t record any sacks and only hit Tony Romo once during the game.
