Jahvid Best could play with toe injury

The Lions lost running back Jahvid Best during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings with an aggravated toe injury.

But he could be back on Sunday, as coach Jim Schwartz tries to avoid securing the worst 20-game record in franchise history.  (A loss puts him at 2-18.)

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Best is day-to-day with a grade two turf toe injury, and he’ll play unless the pain is unbearable.

Best scored five total touchdowns in his first two NFL games.

He should talk to OJ McDuffie before playing with the injury.

    Packers – 68
    Lions – 3
Why do the football gods hate us so? 2-18 is a lock, prepare your post game loser speech.

    @ you know-it-all know-nothings,
Guess which other Lions back had turf toe in his rookie season…

The same lions team that didn’t rule out Stafford last week even though he couldn’t tie his own shoes.

@ GB is as much of a lock for a loss as you can find…sit out at least one week and let it heal a bit. Hopefully him and Stafford back for a home win against STL?

Wow, the worst 20 game start in Lions history? That’s really saying something – huge accomplishment there. And Matt Millen isn’t even around any more to blame it on, but things are actually getting worse in Detroit, not better. Amazing.

I used to think turf toe was a weak injury until actually getting it……it’s a nightmare unless he sits for weeks I’ll be very surprised if he gets back to full speed this year

Why do the football gods hate the Lions so much? why? why? why?

The “go to” response for all things Lions – “There’s always next year.” We need some defense. They can’t stop anyone and Suh can’t do it alone. The offense would be prolific if it weren’t injured or “catching” terrible calls in the end zone. I hate being a lions fan, but I just can’t help myself.

Aaron Rodgers has averaged over 300 yds and 3 TD’s in his four career starts against Detroit. That right there is the key for the Lions.
