Jahvid Best could play with toe injury

The Lions lost running back Jahvid Best during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings with an aggravated toe injury.

But he could be back on Sunday, as coach Jim Schwartz tries to avoid securing the worst 20-game record in franchise history. (A loss puts him at 2-18.)

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Best is day-to-day with a grade two turf toe injury, and he’ll play unless the pain is unbearable.

Best scored five total touchdowns in his first two NFL games.
