Colts make their Tuesday injury announcement

Going above and beyond the league’s usual procedures, the Colts have developed a new habit of publicly announcing on Tuesdays the players who’ll be out for the coming weekend’s game at Jacksonville.

Tonight, the Colts announced that receiver Anthony Gonzalez “continues rehabilitating” his ankle, and he will be out again this week.  The Colts also announced that safety Bob Sanders will be out, too.

Linebacker Kavell Conner has undergone surgery to repair a fractured foot.  He’ll also miss the game.

The Colts also cut quarterback Tom Brandstater from the practice squad.

It’s a good thing you can repair glass. Unfortunately it is never the same as it started.

Does anybody know how many games Bob sanders has missed? Or should I say does anybody know how many games he’s actually played in his career?

At the start of the year it was like he has played 49, missed 48.. Or something close like that..

You do understand the Colts are required to report about Sanders and Gonzalez?
However, Florio is NOT required to try to push it as a story every week, but he still does.
The Colts have more Wins WITHOUT Sanders during his career than they do WITH him (and an equal amount of losses). Report that Florio.

Through the 09 season… he has played in 45 of 114 games, including playoffs. I think those #’s are right.
I’m a Colts fan. I like Sanders. I just don’t know how much you can really help the team missing that many games. We are stuck with him on matter what. :/ Good thing, bad thing…. I dunno.
