Titans starting cornerback Jason McCourty undergoes surgery

Second-year Titans cornerback Jason McCourty won a battle royale for a starting job in training camp, but now he’ll have to watch from the sideline for a while.

Terry McCormick of TitansInsider reports that McCourty underwent surgery on a broken forearm Tuesday. He will miss 3-4 weeks. McCourty nabbed his first interception against the Giants before suffering the injury.

Promising rookie Alterraun Verner will start in McCourty’s place, but the team’s depth is suspect after that. The Titans host the Broncos Sunday; Denver leads the league in passing yards through three weeks.
