Vick wins NFC offensive player of the month

Eagles quarterback Mike Vick is back, and arguably better than ever.

And plenty of people are noticing.

Vick was named the NFC’s offensive player of the month for September 2010. He took the field midway through a Week One game against the Packers after starter Kevin Kolb suffered a concussion. Vick responded by completing 16 of 24 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown.

The next week, with Kolb still recovering, Vick completed 21 of 34 for 284 yards and two scores in a 35-32 win at Detroit.

He saved his best for last, with 291 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Jaguars in a 28-3 romp. Vick also ran for a touchdown.

For the month, Vick generated a passer rating of 110.2.

Chicago fans could have a legitimate gripe on this one; Jay Cutler of the 3-0 Bears arguably outplayed Vick.
