Andre Johnson to be a "game-time decision"

Andre Johnson’s ankle injury is getting worse.

The Texans wide receiver missed practice Thursday, which was a change from his routine last week.  Johnson said earlier in the week he’s preparing to start against the Raiders, but he also admitted he’s “more sore” than he was a week ago.

Texans coach Gary Kubiak doesn’t sound overly positive

“To say that he’s a ‘no,’ I don’t see it that way. I
think that he’s going to be a game-time decision. Obviously, he’s sorer
than he is now than he was last week at this time or would’ve taken in
some of the practice. He did run some. It’s not like he didn’t do
anything,” Kubiak said.

Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has done a nice job shutting down A.J. in previous meetings.  Of course, the Texans would love to have Johnson have the field even at less than 100% just to free up the other receivers.

How much are you getting paid? Shoot it up IF, and ONLY if, there is no risk of further damage and “earn” that money they are paying you. If there is no further risk of injury then you are just being a sissy gurl.

I honestly wish Johnson was completely healthy, watching Nnamdi do his thing on the NFL’s best WR’s is a real treat.

    Does it really matter ?
Fitzgerald only had 2 catches for 6yds vs. Asomugha.
We’ve seen in the past 3yrs that whenever Andre vs. Nnamdi play against each other Andre usually gets 1 catch(avg.)for 8yds all game.
Healthy or NOT it really doesn’t make much of a difference. Look for Hou to try to run the ball on Oakland and try to work with the play action( TE?) Oakland is 2nd in Pass Defense and 2nd in total Defense so their weakness is the run D.
Oakland will do the same and try to run the ball with its 3rd rushing offense and its 4th best HB in the NFL McFadden. This will be vital if it works, It will open up the passing game for Oakland on an already worst pass defense from Hou.
Raiders to get the upset(since they will be coming out looking for blood( AZ loss))

Dont forget all the facts gregg with 2 gs, I think you should post/report on how many catches Larry Fitzgerald had just last week when Nnamdi had him one on one….
    1 CATCH!

The worst thing a fantasy football manager can hear is “game-time decision”. You’re killin me Andre.

Can’t wait to get Jacoby Jones in my fantasy lineup:)

Johnson didn’t do anything last year, either, but the Texans still whipped Oakland’s ass. The Raiders were handed a road win last week, and just gave it away. They look bad. Again.

    Really, Rosenthal?
Texans would love to have Johnson have the field even at less than 100%
What on earth does that mean have Johnson “have” the field.
Hopefully, PFT has grown up and not delete my post again, due to Rose’s continuous errors.

Of course Houston would love to have Johnson on the field … if Namdi is NOT covering him he shutting down someone else. Rather have him cover AJ and give Kevin a big day.
AJ is on my fabtasy team and most likely on the bench.
