Arian Foster named AFC offensive player of the month

Texans running back Arian Foster got the season started with a huge game against the Colts and has only slightly slowed down, and for his efforts through three games this season he’s been named the AFC offensive player of the month.

Foster leads the league in rushing with 406 yards on 69 carries. He also leads the NFL with 502 yards from scrimmage.

In addition to his 231-yard rushing game against the Colts, Foster had a 106-yard rushing game against the Cowboys. He had 69 yards rushing and another 69 yards receiving against the Redskins.

Foster is in his second year in the league; as a rookie he appeared in six games and carried 54 times for 257 yards.
