No game is won because of a single play, analyzed by geniuses like you in a vacuum. The Lions, Cowboys, and Packers lost because they couldn’t stop the Bears from scoring more points than they were able to in a 60 minute game. That’s how this sport works. You are dumb.
@SJ Apollo I disagree with your opinions, but you make a good point about the Lovie status. I just hope Angelo is gone, he is the real problem and as much as I covet Cowher, I believe in giving credit where its due and if our D holds up like this, Lovie deserves an extension. Most of my city disagrees.

Why is it a stretch CLE will beat CIN on the road? Did you watch CIN last week? 5 turnovers. If CAR hadn’t made worse turnovers they might have won. Carson Palmer hasn’t looked that retarded since their loss last year in OAK. Any team that could lose there can lose to CLE.
Any octopus can go 11-5 each week by just picking all favourites as UD only win 33% of the time outright. Why don’t you ladyboys pick ATS where you might have to put some real thought into your picks.

It always cracks me up how angry people get about these picks. The Ravens-Steelers game is clearly the biggest one in my eyes this week. I think the Ravens will take advantage of the Steelers gaping hole at QB. I think the Giants will get the must-win and like the guys I've got the Eagles. I hope Mike is right about the Rams!

I never before I even read this page that Florio was picking the Giants over the Bears. His clear obsession with the Steelers makes it impossible for him to pick the Bears because he wants them to be the only undefeated team.

C’mon florio, “With or Without Andre Johnson”, Really?? Their best reciever has a bum ankle and has to deal with Nnamdi, and houston has the WORST secondary in football. Did you know Oakland leads the league in red zone trips (13). Imagine if they start punching them in. Not saying Oaktown is a “lock” but c’mon.

Between the coach and his tenure-long time management problem; the coach and his tenure-long PENALTIES !!!!!!!! problem; the injured players who can’t get back on the field; the players who get injured playing for the players who can’t get back on the field; the sudden implosion of reliable old MoustacheWax; the idiot in charge of Special Teams; the Recurrent Inconvenient Dropsyitis (RID) that has plagued Greg Jennings since forever; the fullback who doesn’t know forward from backward; the running back who couldn’t find his way out of a berry patch; the punter who can’t tell the difference between a sideline and a goal line, and; the Lions record of always playing GB hard, in addition to the fact that they know they are nearing a win or two or six or so, I think we’ll be lucky to get out of the locker room and back into it without injury, incident, or derision – and three points on the board.
But there’s still Donald, and Jordy, and Jermichael and Tramon, and 13 more games – okay, I guess I’m looking forward to Sunday again. Even maybe, Go, Pack!!

Jets aren’t as good as their record, and the Bills got some genuine life plus they usually split with the Jets. Bills win.
BROWNS over Bengals?!? They’re going nowhere. Bengals win.
Niners collapse has been the trainwreck story of the season so far. Falcons light it up.
Packers come out firing. Lions will have to get punched out a lot before they get better.
Titans have a good offense and a good defense. Broncos are quitting on McDaniels like they quit on Shanny. Titans roll.
Saints take out the embarassment of losing to Atlanta on the stunningly-bad Panthers.
Steelers defense is frightening right now, and Baltimore is not as good as anyone expected. Steelers win.
Texans have ability to win. Raiders blow. This week it’s Oilers 2.0 again.
I’m going out on a limb on Jags vs. Colts – Colts faced two teams that inexplicably left Manning alone – as bad as the Jags have been I don’t believe they’ll tank it this week. Jags pull the upset.
The Dan Snyder Deadskins are back on track. Eagles win.
Seahawks are good, but the Rams have a quarterback. Rams end five-year winless streak to Seattle.
Chargers lost in a shocker – they won’t make those mistakes against the same old Cardinals.
SNF – The Giants are the same fraud team they’ve been since blowing the 24-point lead to the 49ers (how they got that SB ring is still a mystery), while the Bears are actually making a run at this thing with two bad coaches and a worse quarterback. Bears have rediscovered how to force turnovers and goad the enemy into penalties. Chicago punches out Eli & the Giants.
MNF – The Patriots defense has given up 82 points, but in the second half against the Bills they did something they didn’t do the two games previous – they made some plays, and against a good offense in Cincy they made enough plays to win the game. Unlike the Jets and Buffalo the Patriots won’t take this game lightly, and Miami’s defense isn’t as good as advertised and their offense isn’t that strong, either. The Patriots win in a shootout.

The Steelers aren’t going to go undefeated, but they’re sure as heck not going to lose (at home, no less) to one of the AFC’s most OVERRATED (at least by the sportswriters…the fans seem to know) teams. Who have the Ravens beat this year? Answer: Nobody. In fact, look for the Ravens not to win again until they host the Bills in Week 7.

That’s the dumbest thing I have read on here. Woulda, coulda shoudla.
You can make excuses like this for almost any team.
The Packers should be 0-3 because they have only beaten the Eagles, who would’ve won if they had Vick the entire game, and the hapless Bills at home, which doesn’t count because the Bills are awful.
I don’t actually believe that, but it shows how you can downplay almost any win.

Florio, I could care less about the outcome of the Skins/Eagles or Giants/Bears….I just hope each team beats each other up enough to give us (the Cowboys, of course) some sort of competitive advantage since we’re already behind the 8Ball. I don’t foresee the Giants or Redskins standing in our way by the end of the year but we’ve already lost the head-to-head with Da Bears and the Eagles are going to be a tough out every week with Vick playing out of his mind. Of course, then again, the Eagles’ O-Line looks like they have 5 Alex Barrons playing simultaneously. I guess it’s a good thing that Vick can “run like a scalded dog.”

Wow, this guy Florio is a real genius. The Bears should have lost to the Lions although the Bears outgained the Lions 463-138 and had 4 turnovers, yet they still managed to win and because of the controversial final play, he’s going to say the Lions really won and the Bears were just lucky.
Yet, the Bears beat the Packers gaining less yardage. But because of the Packers sloppy play and inability to score they lost and the genius Florio says the Packers should have won and the Bears were “lucky”.
You can’t have it both ways genius.
So according to the Genius Florio and others spouting the same bile from their foul smelling sewers we have a new way to count wins and losses.
The Saints should really be 1-2 because the 49ers beat themselves had 4 turnovers more penalties and really should have won the game.
My guess is what comes out of the sewer of Genius Florio is : “Champions like the Saints just find a way to win, it isn’t pretty but it’s a win”

Kravon – for the Jets to be on upset alert vs the Bills, they’d have to not take it seriously, which they actually are. its a division game, the Bills usually play tough, but the Jets are the team to beat in the AFC East right now. Better D than New England, Better O than Miami. for the Bills to win, they’ll need to come up with answers for LT, Shonn Greene, Dustin Keller and the wideouts. I think the Jets are too balanced on offense this year… the bills will fall victim to play action a few too many times for big gains.
I agree with Rosenthal with the Bears Giants game, I have no faith in the Giants ability to rally and get it done when they need to. Diehl has been playing rather uninspired football, McKenzie isn’t playing much better either. Julius Peppers will be a HUGE PROBLEM. Also, the fact that Green Bay’s pass rush barely got to Cutler the other night gives me NO faith that the Giants will get it done, how they send usually only four men.

The fudge packers overlook the Lions as they’re D-Line completely dominates an extremely soft Packers O-line. Rodgers spends most of the afternoon on his back, much like he does in his spare time while getting Tea-bagged by his buddy Clay Matthews. Suh finishes the contest with 3 sacks, earning him his first NFC defensive player of the week award. Hill does just enough to put the Lions on the winning side of this one and with Stafford returning the following week, the Lions will be 3-3 going into their bye in week 7.

Bengals will beat the Browns 30-17. Don’t forget, they have an 8 game winning streak against the AFC North. Soon to be 9. Browns offense don’t have a chance against the Bengal D. Delhomme will throw at a minimum, 3 int’s against our secondary.

Another thing: The Steelers are going 14-2 this year. You can write it down. This sucks, since I hate the Steelers – but there is no way anyone is getting through that defense. They have a run stuffing defense and the only way to win against them is to take to the air, and Troy Palomalo is going to be every quarterback’s worst nightmare.
