There are just as many if not more Georgia fans in Jax during the FL GA game…The Florida fans live much closer and are here for the weekend but The Georgia fans are camped out in RV City for 2 weeks before the damn game. The bottom line is the stadium without the tarps is to big. All of you people know this. Look at the size of the Colts Stadium….look at the size of Baltimores Stadium…..Thats what the jaguars would have had, if not for the college games. Have some sense people. someone respond to this, please.

Yes, we were talking about how it is a de facto home game for the Gators…and it is. The fact that you acknowledge that Jax is Gator country proves my point. Obviously, Gator players feel more at home as opposed to the GA players. Pulling up to the stadium and seeing nothing but Gator gear by all the tailGATORS makes it as close to Gainsville gameday experience as it can be. Do you really think the GA players, having to travel to the Gators home state, think it’s a neutral site game?

If you have ever been to that game, you would know it is a neutral site game. The crowd is evenly divided in two. Half red/black and half orange/blue.
Inside the stadium yes because they distribute an equal amount of tickets to both schools, but please do not deny the fact that Jax is Gator country. Take any other weekend and the bars are packed with Gator fans. The Jags are a very distant second…..

I understand that Jax is Gator Country. But you make it sound like J-ville residents fill up the stadium for the FL/GA game & that simply isn’t true. The people of Jax don’t buy the majority of tickets to the Gator Bowl. Again, the majority of tickets are for the schools to distribute to students, alumni & boosters. The people of Jax DON’T fill the stadium for FL/GA. The schools do. If you lived here for 2 years, you’d know this if you paid attention.

All I know is the Jags don’t have a blackout to date and are ahead of 7 larger metro cities in game attendance with argubly one of the worst teams in the league. If that’s not support I don’t know what is.

The only reason why Florio makes a big deal about blackouts is that the NFL will not get rid of them. The blackout rule is slowly heading toward a deep grave yet the league still thinks its 1960. RAIDER fans like Charger fans and Buc fans are still watching the games that are suppose to be “blacked out.” We have the Internet and DirecTV cards to circumvent the blackout rule. No one is losing out.

With facts like this I think it’s hilarious that GB and Saints fans still think the Vikings have a shot in hell at moving to LA.
At this point, it looks like MN is going to have a Democratic governor who’s not afraid to tax (Dayton), or an independent governor who has a racino plan all drawn up (Horner), so a new stadium deal is looking pretty likely in the next legislative session.
