Bills announce injury settlement with Kawika Mitchell

Kawika Mitchell is a free man.

Mitchell, the Bills linebacker who was placed on injured reserve prior to Week One, has officially reached an injury settlement with the team.

That means Mitchell will be eligible to sign with any team that will have him, and will be able to play as soon as his injured foot is healthy.

Mitchell wrote on Twitter that he expects to play again this season, and he also had kind words for the fans in Buffalo, saying he was sorry he couldn’t help turn the team into a winner.

The soon-to-be 31-year-old Mitchell has been a starter throughout his NFL career, and once he’s healthy enough to play, he should be able to help some team down the stretch.

As a Bills fan, I’m happy for Kiwika. Nobody should have to play for a team that is owned by a senile old man that has done nothing to correct things. Were talking about a guy that fired the only good GM we’ve ever had.
Unfortunatly, we still have to live with this until it changes.

Who was the only good GM we’ve ever had? Stew Barber?

    @ Roger Sterling
…funny thing was I came back to this post to make the exact same comment. I guarantee you that right now, Rex is choking on a sandwich trying to call him in.

Since he was signed, Mitchell has been one of the best D players on the Bills team. I was looking forward to seeing him next to Poz. However, Poz kept gitting hurt, then Mitchell followed. Sucks to see him leave.
I expect him to sign with a 4-3 defense team as soon as he can play.

good for you get the hell out, take as many as you can with you. Ralph needs to go, and if not the team does. Ralph should be criminally charged for holding Buffalo hostage to his cheapness just to say we have a team.

If you think 21 games 117 tackles with four sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles = EPIC BUST, you’re a complete idiot.

21 games with Buffalo, he had 117 tackles with four sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Fail or Bust? You’re clueless if you think that. You want to talk bust/fail? Michael Clayton.
