Contrary to a report that Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder visited with orthopedic specialist Dr. James Andrews, a league source tells us that Crowder missed practice on Friday to see Dr. Bill Meyers, whose specialty is sports hernias.
And so common sense suggests that Crowder is being evaluated for a sports hernia, which obviously would cause problems in the groin area.
As Brian Allee-Walsh of NewOrleans.com pointed out earlier this year, Dr. Meyers repaired sports hernias for eight Saints players in a 20-month window.

I thought Shaun Smith was in Kansas City?
I would like to see him get on the field with dansby. Crowder is one of the guys that actually tackled last year…would help with run defense.
That guy fixed me after my first tour in Afghanistan!
Heywood, definitely one of the funniest comments I have seen on here.
gotta love the Shaun Smith reference
When is the Crowder/Florio cage match going to hit PPV?
Get him Florio !
Ya mean he didn’t go to those great medical centers of Mayberry County where Hogster lives?
They just got a brand new ice machine!
